Stevie Ray Vaughan's final concert
Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Alpine Valley Music Theater East Troy WI, August 26, 1990. Voodoo Child (Slight Return). SRV's last song with DT, and THEY were smoken! Stevie played one more song that night, a jam (Sweet Home Chicago) with his brother Jimmie Lee Vaughan, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, & Eric Clapton. However at 11+ minutes I could not use that song on YT (And there was no way I was going to cut it to fit). The sound quality on VC(SR) is better than SHC. That and the fact that this is an amazing version of the song makes me happy I used it for this video. I once read an article in a guitar magazine where SRV was being intervened immediately after his set, and he showed his friend his goose-bumps. Don't be surprised if you get them while watching and listening. So sit back, turn the lights down low, the volume way up, and prepare to get your mind blown! "Heaven done called another blues- stringer back home." SRV you are missed! Produced By: The Department of Redundancy Department Productions. 2007 Proverbs 14:4
