Great Sphinx of Giza
The Great Sphinx of Giza is a large half-human, half-lion Sphinx statue in Egypt, on the Giza Plateau at the west bank of the Nile River, near modern-day Cairo. It is one of the largest single-stone statues on Earth, and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians in the 3rd millennium BC. It is the earliest known monumental sculpture.The Great Sphinx was believed to stand as a guardian of the Giza Plateau, where it faces the rising sun. It was the focus of solar worship in the Old Kingdom, centered in the adjoining temples built around the time of its probable construction. Its animal form, the lion, has long been a symbol associated with the sun in ancient Near Eastern civilizations. Images depicting the Egyptian king in the form of a lion smiting his enemies appear as far back as the Early Dynastic Period of Egypt. During the New Kingdom, the Sphinx became more specifically associated with the god Hor-em-akhet (Greek Harmachis) or Horus at the Horizon, which represented the Pharaoh in his role as the Shesep ankh of Atum (living image of Atum). A temple was built to the northeast of the Sphinx by King Amenhotep II, nearly a thousand years after its construction, dedicated to the cult of Horemakhet.

The Sphinx is Khafra
This is an animation I made of Khaf-Ra (Living image of Ra). He built the 2nd largest pyramid and is the face of the sphinx. Considering his name, the face maybe also looks like Ra. Best viewed in full screen mode (it cuts the borders off and stretches the vid in this view) A photograph of the Sphinx and a transparent photograph of the famous statue of Khaf-ra. If you pause at :53 and :54 you can see a closeup where the color is multiplied in the transparent layer that is faded in and out to emphasise the golden edge of the sphinx against the dark green/gray of the statue. This demonstrates how seamlessly they fit together. Racial banter is acceptable but no n-words please because unfortunately it has the power to destroy an otherwise correct argument (by turning people off before they finish reading).

How to set-up Sphinx Search on Windows
Installing Sphinx Search engine into a Windows environment can be more than tricky. In this video we install the search engine from scratch. We also leave 'issues' with the configuration to show typical errors and how to debug them. Finally we'll use mysql to test SphinxQL from the command line. It is assumed you already have Apache, MySQL and PHP running correctly. I have WAMP running for this tutorial. If you are a beginner with MySQL or PHP you may want to forget about installing a search engine as such - even after it is installed there is a lot of work to get results - and this isn't covered in this tutorial. Rogue Egyptologist John Anthony West shared theories, evidence, and interpretation regarding the Sphinx and the pyramids at Giza. It's "deep heresy" to today's scientific establishment that an ancient civilization had skills that surpass our own-- yet that is what they must have had to make these awe-inspiring structures, he argued. Visiting the Sphinx in-person gave West a sense of "unspeakable antiquity" and pride that human beings had made such a monument. It's meant to signal an "ingress to the Age of Leo," and the last one occurred 10500 BC, though he believes the Sphinx might have been constructed in the earlier age of Leo which took place at 36500 BC. Edgar Cayce predicted that a Hall of Records would be found at the base of the Sphinx, and West shared that a cavern under bedrock has been detected by seismograph under the left paw. It appears to be a rectangular shape approximately 36 X 45 feet. He explored various theories as to how these structures were built: They used a technology we don't recognize, which could be hidden in a religious symbol. They employed a "soft" technology such as music or sound. The work was performed by people in a heightened state of consciousness. In front of King Merenptah's palace is a 13-ton red granite sphinx, the largest in the United States and believed to be the third largest in the world. It weighs about the same as 8 average-sized cars! This Sphinx, like the palace elements around it, comes from the site of Memphis. Unlike the palace, the sphinx was excavated by the Egyptian Exploration Fund, under the direction of the famous archaeologist, Sir William M. Flinders Petrie. The sphinx, a lion with a human head, represents the Egyptian king as protector of his people and conqueror of the enemies of Egypt and it also has associations with the sun god. Unlike the sphinx in Greek mythology, who was female and had negative qualities, the sphinx in Egypt was usually male and had a protective connotations. This Sphinx was originally located near the temple of Ptah at Memphis. Our sphinx is carved of red granite from a quarry at Aswan near Egypt's southern border. In an incredible feat of ancient engineering and transport, this single massive block of stone was shipped along the Nile from Aswan to the Ptah Temple at Memphis, 600 miles north.
