We know its not a bomb.it wasnt planned to blow up. we got tired of making little ones of like 300. and tried to make a huge one. turns out you cant wrap 1000 sparklers tight enough to blow up. ps- taping the top of the bomb is a bunch of crap, its not near as loud and no flame. we like fire, thats why we did this.

How to REALLY make a 288 Sparkler Bomb HD
I documented step by step making my sparkler bomb. pretty self explanatory. if you want to make a Sparkler bomb make SURE of the following! -you get the colored spakerlers (they burn slower, its what you need) -get the ones with magnesium (it will say "does NOT have magnesium" if it doesn't) -for a good one get at least 200. -get SEVERAL roles of electrical tape and some duct tape for good measure. about a roll of tape per 40-50 sparklers i think is good, but other people say to get more. your call. i didnt use that much. -WRAP THE ENDS VERRRY WELL!!! and here's why: as you can see, the end blew out, turning this relatively harmless device into a freaking ballistic missile. i did the math, it took exactly 30 frames (on my 30 frames per second camera) to travel (almost exactly) 200 feet. so obviously thats 200 feet per second. which is 136 MILES an hour!!!!!! it definitely bent the chain link fence up a little bit. thats enough to do serious damage and cause considerable harm. so WRAP THE ENDS, so it doesn't turn into a 2 pound rubber bullet. PS: thanks to VCP for the filmgrade ;) ...props to anyone who understood that
1535 Sparkler Bomb vs. Toilet
A sparkler bomb made from 250+ individual boxes of sparklers, 1535 individual NO. 10 color sparklers, 10+ rolls of electrical tape, 3/4 a role of ductape, 2 rolls of plastic rap, 1 roll of nylon strapping tape, and to top it all off, a water bottle filled with butane gas and parts of a lighter. Real 1008 Sparkler Bomb
The making of this and the video was for pure fun and was done out in the country on private property. i do not recommend or advise anyone to do this in city limits. it is illegal and u can be prosecuted for it. that said, this is a real 1008 metal sparklers bomb. i used 1008 metal sparklers that contained magnesium, 30 rolls of electric tape and cannon fuse to give us proper time to get away. those that doubt, thats fine. this is a true sparkler BOMB, not a dumb sparkler fountain. enjoy
The Best Sparkler Bomb Tutorial
This is the absolute cheapest and most effective way to make a big boom on 4th of July or any other time of the year. I have spent 4 years perfecting these things and think i have finally found the best and easiest way to make these!I have been wanting to make a video like this for a while. When sitting in my driveway with my brother and girlfriend I figured it would be a perfect time. Had to cut some parts of the video out for time but I plan on making a more formal and descriptive howto video eventually so check back for that. Use electrical tape and "strapping tape" (has fiber glass threads through it). Layers go electrical, strapping, electrical, strapping, electrical, strapping, strapping. Make sure to wrap it TIGHT. As tight as humanly possible; you will probably break the electrical tape a lot at first until you figure out the weight load. Before you start wrapping with tape make sure you pull one sparkler about 2-3 inches in the middle of the bundle. Flatten the rest. Leave the sticks on the sparklers so you can stick it in the ground and it would be pretty pointless wasting your time to remove them. Stick it in the ground diagonally to the ground so it doesn't start prematurly and run because the shockwave is intense and there may be shrapnul.

Dual Stage Sparkler Rocket Test 2 (static)
Second static test of the dual stage prototype. Again a successful test, both stages burnt fully, unfortunately the two stages didn't separate, I think I put too much tape on and it became to tight. Oh well it still worked. I think I'll do one more test on these then begin launching them. I'm currently doing tests on fins for the smaller rockets and will apply and successful ideas to these to make them more stable. I will also post tutorials on how to make everything soon. How to make your own Sparklers!
Materials Needed: Iron wires 150g of potassium chlorate 30g of aluminum fines 1g of charcoal 20g of dextrin 30g of barium nitrate 45ml of 25% aqueous ethanol solution (25% alcohol, 75% water) Steps: Mix all the dry ingredients together except dextrin. Add 11ml of ethanol to 20g of dextrin and stir until it becomes a paste. Break up any large clumps formed in the paste. Add 34ml more of ethanol to the paste and stir. Add the ethanol-dextrin mixture to other dry components and stir. Dip the wires or sticks in the sparkler mixture. Leave an adequate amount of uncoated space one end to safely grasp the finished sparkler. Allow the coated sticks to dry for about 24 hours before igniting the sparkler.
