Old Boat Motors! Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum. Arnolds Park, Lake Okoboji.
OLD Boat Motors and boats. Sailors and boat collectors will love this video and museum. Located at Lake Okoboji, at Arnold's Park Iowa are some interesting history all in one location. The Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Queen boat ride, the old Majestic/Dreamland roller rink, and the fabulous Maritime museum with the famous #30 boat display. It crashed and sunk in 1946, was recovered in 1995 and put on display in the museum. I have been here many times, and always find something interesting. Mary Kennedy and her staff do an excellent job of restoring and displaying Marine Artifacts, Motors, and items from the period, when the park was new. We stopped in to check out the some of the great natural experiences that can be enjoyed in Tropical North Queensland. We started in Cairns and went out for a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. We sailed out to the reef to Michaelmas Cay with Passions of paradise. The great thing about this location is that you can snorkel right of the beach and if you are a certified diver you can also scuba dive this location. We then decided to head north to check out the Daintree Rainforest. To get to the Daintree head towards Port Douglas. On your way to the Daintree be sure to check out Mossman Gorge, if its a hot day its a great place to go for a swim. When you get to the Daintree there are many great walking tracks. As you adventure out along these tracks there are many different experiences that will enjoy and if you are lucky enough you may even see a Cassowary in the wild. The Atherton Tablelands offers a range of things to do and see. Some of the places to visit are the crater lakes of lake Eacham and Barrine through to the Curtain Fig a must see. Heading further into the Great Dividing range you visit Mount Mulligan.

Lake Trout at the Quabbin 2010
This year I wanted to target a new species within my home state of Massachusetts and that species is the Lake Trout. Though I have caught them in other states I wanted to catch some on home water. To me there is just something more gratifying about being successful within you own backyard and doing it all yourself, versus traveling and hiring a guide or charter service. The Quabbin Reservoir is only one of two lakes within the state that have a lake trout fishery and the only one that allows anglers to fish out of boats. The only other recognized lake trout fishery within the state is Wachusett Reservoir, which only allows shore fishing. Last year I targeted landlocked salmon and smallmouth bass at the Quabbin and since I was already a little familiar with that lake and prefer fishing out of a boat naturally I chose it for my lake trout hunt. Last year I never even caught an incidental Laker. So this year it became a goal. This video shows some of the Lakers I caught earlier in the spring, including my first MA Laker. It also shows a couple of friends who I helped put on their first MA Lake Trout as well. The lake trout are wild and are bigger than your average hatchery reared trout and are another great game fish option.

2010 Lake Michigan Spring Timelapse Compilation
A few timelapse clips from around the Leelanau region, featuring our wonderful Lake Michigan shoreline views. These are experimental as some represent a step into hdr timelapse, though one shot, faux processed and an early go at timelapsed dance. Another early exploration at motion timelapse using the MiLapse system. There are a few cameo appearances by the photographer. I realize there is a lot of flicker that should be cured in post except that I do not own AfterEffects. That I know of, there is only one plug in that will cure flicker on a mac, but you have to use it with AE. If there is another solution, I'd love to hear about it.(besides locking down manual ; ) Thanks for watching! Lighthouses have been a part of the Great Lakes maritime history ever since the early settlers moved westward and into the Upper Great Lakes region of the United States. Their light beams have guided ships to safety during the nastiest of storms, and at times the lighthouse keepers staged daring rescues that made them true heroes of the Great Lakes. In recent years, lighthouses have become major tourist attractions, and restoration has seen them returned to their original splendor. "Hiding" (in Chinese "隐藏") is a highly visible hip-hop band in China. Its members are Wang Bo (Chinese), Zheng Jie (Jeremy, American), Ma Ke (Canada-born Chinese) and He Zhong (Irish American). Formed in 2000 by Wang and Zheng, the band has released a few singles and albums and won many domestic hip-hop awards. "TALUS" by Nutnfancy ('Summer Snow' Actual Final Part)
The Summer Snow adventure sadly comes to an end but not until some more adventure ensues. Our hike out continues, crossing streams, snow casms, boulders, talus fields, fallen timber areas, and lots of snow and mud. The scenery continues as well and it was majestic. But the hike is tough, having taken a different route out that added about 3.5 miles to the route...all with no trail. Lots of snow drifts still covered it. The wind kicks up too, gusting to 30+ mph. We press on and I decide to stop at the base of a huge talus slope for a rest break. We heat up some lunch and filter some water out of a fresh glacial water source (awesome water!). LastSuspect has some fun boulder climbing while Allie and I do the work (standard). An osprey hunts the lake not far away and we bid farewell to the lake as we make our way upslope to re-intercept the trail. I break through a snow bank into a hidden creek, getting soaked. We are careful not to sprain an ankle or break a leg in this treacherous section. Pressing on through the many fallen trees and obstacles, we reach the open trail (and check out some other beautiful glacier lakes nearby too). Finally we are rewarded with some downhill, on-trail hiking...piece of cake but lengthy. Allie is a great companion all through it all and we love having her along. And yes, despite my best efforts, she throws another shoe to be lost forever. We grab out cached supplies on the way down and call the adventure complete. This was an awesome ...

I went to the lakes in the summer of 2009 and it was simply stunning! Unfortunately there aren't many videos on the internet showing these lakes, so I decided to make my own movie with the images I had shot.
