How to Solve a Rubik's Cube - Part 1 - White Cross
In my tutorial, I will teach you how to solve a Rubik's Cube (regular 3x3)using 7 steps, which I explain in detail. My videos are longer than others you may find, but I feel that by spending more time with you for each step, you will understand it better than if I rush through it like those other videos. Although my videos are longer, it will pay off in the shorter amount of time you spend solving your cube. Other methods tend to use repetitive moves, not letting you understand how the cube works very well and wasting too much time and too many moves. I taught quite a few people this method in college, and also family members and friends who were able to solve it relatively quickly once they understood the method. Once you have memorized the algorithms and also understand the method I use, you can solve the cube in ABOUT 1-2 MINUTES WITH PRACTICE. Go here to see my Rubiks.com page with links to ALL my tutorials!! www.rubiks.com This is the first step of the Tutorial for solving the cube. THE SECOND STEP IS ON MY CHANNEL PLAYLIST AND ALSO IN THE VIDEO RESPONSES SECTION OF THIS VIDEO. You must then match each individual edge piece with its side color and flip it until it is matched with both the white and side colors. *If you are HAVING DIFFICULTY ...

Built entirely from lego elements with a lego web camera to scan the faces of the cube, The solve engine (algorithm) running on the computer is provided by the incredible "Cube Explorer "software which also provides the colour recognition required to determine the exact location of each coloured square. Thanks to Herbert Kociemba for making his work available to anyone wishing to use it! Respect! "Cube Explorer" has the ability to produce very fast solutions to a successfully scanned cube, usually around 20 face turns! Doesn't sound a lot , but it has been proven that 20 turns are enough to solve ANY 3x3x3 cube combination. Special thanks to David Gilday for his assistance with the software interface to "Cube Explorer."
How to Solve a Song with Math by Karen Cheng, Ep 85
It's happened to all of us -- you hear a song that you don't want to like. You try to resist, but you can't. By the end of the song, you're tapping your foot and singing along. Why are some songs so irresistibly catchy? Karen used to think it was magic. But when she looked closer, she had an epiphany -- It's actually just math. Songs are catchy because they're scientifically engineered to be that way. Karen shows you how. How to Solve a Rubik's Cube - Part 4 - Top Cross
Link to Step 5 - Complete the Top Face www.youtube.com A tutorial on how to solve the top cross. The algorithm we must know for this step is: FTR Ti Ri Fi. (i = the inverse move or counter-clockwise a quarter turn) Official/Standard Notation: FUR Ui Ri Fi *IMPORTANT* If you DO NOT see one of the patterns above here, meaning you may only see two pieces together, or a small T instead of a full cross, YOU MUST do this. Take apart the top layer of the cube and completely solve the cube. This only happens if the cube was taken apart at one point or if pieces popped out and were not put back properly (IT DOES MATTER!!). Once you fix the cube, you will never have this problem again and you can then go on to solve it normally! Thank you. *NOTE* There are obviously many different algorithms for solving the cube, especially the last layer of the Rubik's Cube. The algorithms I have chosen are the ones which produce results and patterns that I feel are easiest for a beginner to recognize and memorize. I also use the letter T for the "Top" or "Up" face, but please note that U is the "official" letter for the Upper face. This is really irrelevant as far as performing the algorithm, as long as you know when to turn the top face, you can call it whatever you like. Looking on the top face, after the bottom two layers are completed, you should see one of FOUR different patterns. IMPORTANT**For this step, the YELLOW CORNER pieces do NOT matter. We are ONLY looking at YELLOW EDGE pieces and ...
How to Solve a Rubik's Cube - Part 7 - Finishing the Cube
In this step, we perform the Allan, a 9 move algorithm which rotates the top layer edge pieces in a counter-clockwise direction. After that, the cube should be done! The Algorithm we must know for this step is: L180 Ti B Fi L180 Bi F Ti L180 (rotates last 3 edges counter-clockwise) *****Please NOTE that if you have 2 sides completed at any time when doing this algorithm, it is because you have at one time had pieces removed or pop out of your cube. You must remove and switch these pieces or you cannot solve your cube***** Official/Standard Notation is: L2 Ui B Fi L2 Bi F Ui L2 "Reverse" Allan: (rotates last 3 pieces clockwise, put the completed side on the LEFT) R2 U Bi F R2 B Fi U R2 You must make sure that when you perform this step, that the COMPLETED side is on the RIGHT face. The LEFT face then becomes the side OPPOSITE the completed face. If you do NOT have a completed side, then any side can be the LEFT side as long as the yellow is on top and white on bottom. You will see that when the completed side is on the right face, the piece in the front upper layer edge position will be moved to the back face, the back face piece will go to the left face, and the left face piece will go to the front face (*Please watch video to completely understand*). THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH FOR THE POSITIVE COMMENTS! I am so glad that I was able to help so many people solve the cube. I put a lot of time into making the tutorial beginner friendly and was glad that my method was easy to ...

Will Smith solve the rubik's cube
Impossible puzzle solved!
So ya, there's a lot of fake solutions out there that you need to try to figure out, so I made a legitimate solution to it, and a step-by-step walkthrough on how it is solved. Keep in mind that this IS impossible to do on a flat piece of paper, and the ONLY way to do it is to solve it on a doughnut shape... seeing as I didn't have any doughnuts handy, I just drew one to give you the idea on how to do it. If you found this helpful feel free to like, comment, subscribe, high-five your computer screen, or whatever else floats your boat... =P

None Stick Ketchup Bottle Solution (Official) [HD]
MIT and Harvard in battle to create life-changing product: Non-stick ketchup bottles It's the world's biggest non-problemic problem: getting the last bit of ketchup out of the jar. Ketchup is so viscous, and it seems so eager to stick to glass and plastic. But leave it to students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to solve the greatest non-issues of our generation: A team of engineers have designed the perfect condiment bottle — one that ketchup simply cannot stick to. The secret is in a futuristic substance known as "LiquiGlide," a non-toxic, FDA-approved coating that can be applied to the interior of bottles. According to MIT PhD candidate Dave Smith, it's "kind of a structured liquid — it's rigid like a solid, but it's lubricated like a liquid." Regardless of what the bottle is constructed of, liquid or plastic, ketchup will flow out of it nearly effortlessly. It seems like ketchup sticking to the inside of bottles is a more compelling problem than many realize — a rival team at nearby Harvard University have been working on similar, plant-derived, ketchup bottle technology. And the idea of a friction-less ketchup bottle caught enough people's imaginations to win the audience choice award at the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. Ending bottle friction is a noble goal. Any technology to get ketchup out of bottles easier could make a serious dent in helping reduce food waste in a $33 billion condiment industry. Smith explains that the new bottles "could ...
