The question is What is a Mahna Mahna? This is an interpretation of the 1976 muppet classic...by a couple of silly kids.......As sung by Mahna Mahna (Jim Henson) and the Snowths (Frank Oz) The Manamana meets the lollipop guild munckins and havoc ensues. Originally from 1976 (episode 17 of the 1st season of the Muppet Show), and sung by Mahna Mahna and the two Snowths, the Mahna Mahna song was reborn as the Phenomena song in episode 7 of Muppets Tonight (broadcast 20/9/96 in the UK, 23/6/96 in the US). The Phenomena song was performed by Dr. (Sandra) Bullock the Animal Psychiatrist, who was visited by Kermit. Kermit's problem was that he saw strange creatures whenever he said the word "phenomena"... The song has become one of the best known of all the muppet's songs. The Muppets filmed a new version "Manah Manah" in 2005, for a New Zealand charity called CanTeen. In the ad, an updated version of the Mahna Mahna puppet was performed by Bill Barretta, and the lyrics were changed to "Bandanana", supporting CanTeen's "Bandana Week".

Muppets You Say? What a Nice Way to End a School Year!
All of this is from Jim Henson's Musical World at Carnegie Hall on April 14, 2012 Sorry some of the camera work is shaky! I was excited. And the clips are kind of short because I was worried about recording and I wanted to actually enjoy the show. Clips in order (because the stupid software I have on my computer won't let me put captions) -Me and Kristyn being excited -The host John Tartaglia changing out of his adorable ducky pajamas -Fraggles! Singing "Pass it on" -Fraggles again! This time singing the theme song! -Sesame Street cast members singing "People in Your Neighborhood" -Elmo and Ernie singing...something. It's too short for me to figure it out. But look! Muppeteer's heads! -Paul Williams (who wrote a lot of Muppet music for The Muppet Movie and Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas and such) sharing a little story about Jim Henson -Kermit! And Fozzie! And Gonzo! And Scooter! Singing "Just One Person" which they sang at Jim's funeral. This is the point where I started crying. -"Moving Right Along"! One of my favorite songs from The Muppet Movie - The Muppet Show theme song! Which then moved into Mahna Mahna! If you look close, you can see Kevin Clash (a Muppeteer) being both of the pink guys (aka Snowths) - Bein' Green! - Rainbow Connection! Paul Williams and Piggy and Kermit. Then just another clip of it with more Muppets and Sesame folks! It was a fantastic show. And also, only 20 days until graduation now. Closer to 19 really.
