"The artificial preparation of hemp, from Silesia, is really a curiosity." Pot Smoking Better Than Cigarette Smoking: Study
Pot smokers: you may rejoice! And maybe ask your cigarette-smoking friends to consider a lifestyle change. Smoking marijuana does less damage to the lungs than cigarette smoking, according to a collaborative study by the University of Alabama Birmingham and UC San Fransisco. Published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the study distills data collected from over 5000 people aged 18-30 over a 20 year period. After studying marijuana and cigarette usage amongst other vital factors, researchers have determined that cigarette usage degrades both the FEV, the amount of air the lungs can hold and FVC, the amount of air a person blows out. Contrarily occasional pot smoking increased lung capacity according to the research, though heavy pot smoking had similar effects as tobacco smoking. The authors became interested in the study as more Americans are using medical marijuana. The control group likely became interested in the study because of the possibility of free weed.

This is just nasty! The black is lung cancer and the other is a healthy lung! Remember! millions of people die a year from lung cancer and even if you don't care what you die from everyone around you (including your children) will take in the same stuff that turns lungs black like this. They will actually take in more because while you are taking your cigarette with a filter- they are taking in everything including what that filter is meant to clean out.
