Lynch Mob - Smoke and Mirrors
From the new album, "Smoke and Mirrors" Lynch Mob is an American band featuring former Dokken guitarist George Lynch, who has been the band's only permanent member. The rest of the band have been a revolving door of members who have come and gone, and in some cases, come back. The first Lynch Mob album was released in 1990 and titled Wicked Sensation. The album featured vocalist Oni Logan who was fired shortly after touring due to unknown reasons, although there were also rumors that he had quit the band while touring in support of Queensryche, because he felt intimidated opening up for singer Geoff Tate. Many feel that songs such as the title track (the album's lone single), "River of Love," "She's So Evil," and "For a Million Years" would have done very well in the 80's "hair metal" scene. However, due to the explosion of grunge and the waning popularity of "hair metal," the album didn't make much of an impact and sold rather poorly. The next album was the self-titled Lynch Mob (released in 1992), which fared even worse upon its release. The album sported many great rock anthems such as "Tangled in the Web" and a cover of Queen's "Tie your Mother Down." It featured the vocals of new vocalist Robert Mason (who was asked to join Ratt as a replacement for Stephen Pearcy, but passed). Lynch Mob disbanded after the tour for the album. Penn & Teller's Smoke & Mirrors (Sega-CD **Unreleased**)
This is the attract mode (intro sequence) for the never-released Sega-CD game Smoke & Mirrors starring Penn & Teller. This game was fully completed yet never released, which is unfortunate to say the least since it's an amazing game! Well designed, innovative use of the genesis controller with single-player and multi-player (sort of) games. Some of the mini-games are single-player (Smoke & Mirrors and the infamous Desert Bus) while the others (What's Your Sign, Mofo The Psychic Gorilla, Buzz Bombers & Sun Scorcher) involve you sneakily fooling and playing pranks on your friends (enemies?) through hidden button commands, hidden game menus, etc. Truly a shame it never came out, as I think it would have done very well at the time.
