Lynyrd Skynyrd-Free bird
Awesome guitar solo at the end If I leave here tomorrow Would you still remember me? For I must be travelling on, now, cause theres too many places Ive got to see. But, if I stayed here with you, girl, Things just couldnt be the same. cause Im as free as a bird now, And this bird you can not change. Lord knows, I cant change. Bye, bye, its been a sweet love. Though this feeling I cant change. But please dont take it badly, cause lord knows Im to blame. But, if I stayed here with you girl, Things just couldnt be the same. Cause Im as free as a bird now, And this bird youll never change. And this bird you can not change. Lord knows, I cant change. Lord help me, I cant change (AWESOME GUITAR SOLO)
Lynyrd Skynyrd FreeBird [HQ] (LIVE) 1977
- July 4'th 1977, Oakland, great quality. "Free Bird" (also spelled "Freebird") is a song by the American southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. It was first featured on the band's debut album (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) in 1973, and has been included on subsequent albums released by the band. Released as a single in November 1974, "Free Bird" became the band's second Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1975, where it peaked at No. 19. A live version of the song also reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1977, peaking at No. 38. Free Bird also achieved the No. 3 spot on Guitar World's 100 Greatest Guitar Solos. It is used as a finale by Lynyrd Skynyrd during their live performances, and is their longest song, often going well over 14 minutes when played live. The lyrical portion of the song was written early in the group's history. Roadie Billy Powell was discovered as a keyboardist for the band when he played the intro piece to "Free Bird" at a high school prom. Lead vocalist Ronnie Van Zant noted his talent and invited him to join. Allen Collins's then-girlfriend, Kathy, whom he later married, asked him, "If I leave here tomorrow would you still remember me?" Collins jotted the question down and it eventually became the opening line of "Free Bird". Gary Rossington played a Gibson SG and used a glass Coricidin bottle for a slide on this song to emulate one of his heroes, Duane Allman. This was the only song he used a guitar other than a Les Paul on ...

Lyrics: Whiskey bottles, and brand new cars Oak tree you're in my way There's too much coke and too much smoke Look what's going on inside you Ooooh that smell Can't you smell that smell Ooooh that smell The smell of death surrounds you Angel of darkness is upon you Stuck a needle in your arm So take another toke, have a blow for your nose One more drink fool will drown you Ooooh that smell Can't you smell that smell Ooooh that smell The smell of death surrounds you Now they call you Prince Charming Can't speak a word when you're full of 'ludes Say you'll be alright come tomorrow But tomorrow might not be here for you Ooooh that smell Can't you smell that smell Ooooh that smell The smell of death surrounds you Oh, you're a fool, you Stick them needles in your arm One little problem that confronts you Got a monkey on your back Just one more fix, Lord might do the trick One hell of a price for you to get your kicks Ooooh that smell Can't you smell that smell Ooooh that smell The smell of death surrounds you Oh, you're a fool, you Don't stick those needles in your arm You're just a fool, just a fool, just a fool

Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Freebird" (Live 1977)
Lynyrd Skynyrd (pronounced le-nerd skin-nerd) (1964--1977 original members) is an American rock band best known for popularizing the Southern rock genre during the 1970s. Originally formed as the "Noble Five" in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1964, the band rose to worldwide recognition on the basis of its driving live performances and signature tune, "Free Bird". At the peak of their success, three members died in an airplane crash in 1977, putting an abrupt end to the band's most popular incarnation. Surviving members re-formed in 1987 for a reunion tour with lead singer Ronnie Van Zant's younger brother Johnny as frontman. A version of the band continues to tour and record, with only Gary Rossington of its original members remaining as of 2012. Rescue crews performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at 1:52 am Leonard Skinner, the physical education teacher who inspired the band's name, Lynyrd Skynyrd, passed ...

www.eagle-rock.com Lynyrd Skynyrd are the ultimate Southern Rock band. Their signature three guitar attack coupled to superb songwriting and massive on stage charisma has rightfully earned them a reputation as one of the greatest live bands of all time. The original band infamously had their career cut short by a disastrous plane crash in 1977 which took the lives of three members plus two of their road crew and seriously injured several others. In 1987 the surviving members reformed the band with Johnny Van Zant taking the place of his brother Ronnie. This concert from 1996 captures the band on top form at Rockpalast's Loreley Festival on 23 June 1996. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Whiskey Rock-A-Roller
LYNYRD SKYNYRD **SONG REQUEST FOR MrDaddyBartender** LYRICS: I'm headed down a highway, got my suitcase by my side. Blue skies hangin' over my head, I got five hundred miles to ride. I'm goin' down to Memphis town to play a late night show. I hope the people are ready there 'cause the boys are all ready to go. Well, I'm a whiskey rock-a-roller, that's what I am. Women, whiskey and miles of travelin is all I understand. Yes, I was born a travelin manand my feets do burn the ground. I don't care for fancy music if your shoes can't shuffle around. I got a hundred women or more and there's no place I call home. The only time I'm satisfied is when I'm on the road. Well, I'm a whiskey rock-a-roller, that's what I am. Women, whiskey and miles of travelin' is all I understand. Sometimes I wonder where will we go. Lord, don't you take my whiskey and rock'n'roll. Take me down to Memphis town, busdriver, get me there. I got me a queenie, she got long black curly hair. She likes to drink Old Grandad and her shoes do shuffle around and everytime I see that girl, Lord, she wants to take me down. Well, I'm a whiskey rock-a-roller, that's what I am. Women, whiskey and miles of travelin' is all I understand. Sometimes I wonder where will we go. Lord, don't you take my whiskey and rock'n'roll.
