Baltimore Cop vs Skater
BaltimoreHourly.com On a warm day some kids are skating by the harbor. Instead of having a policeman on the corner of Linden and North in Reservoir Hill or some other drug ravaged corner the police have a man patrolling the harbor in a vehicle purchased for that purpose. He gets out of his vehicle and starts yelling at kids when he could be busting drug dealers in most any other part of Baltimore. The police will probably have his head for this but the real issue is why do we have cops going after kids at the Harbor while they could be out on corners busting the real bad guys. This story will probably make national news for all the wrong reasons. The sad thing is Baltimore is wasting tax dollars on far worse things than this. Mayor Dixon is now paying for homeless people stay in hotels in the county. In her state of the City address she implied that we are in for a budget crunch and we may not get our promised property tax relief. We need lower property taxes now! Stop voting in the people who refuse to cut our property taxes. There is so much waste in Baltimore City. We need to cut spending and insane services like housing homeless people in hotels in the county. Give the tax payers a break. We are TIRED of supporting ridiculous things like this. www.Baltimore2008.com is part of the answer. Spread the word. Ice Skating Festival 2012 started in North Korea
Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- The 21st Paektusan Prize International Figure Skating Festival opened Wednesday with due ceremony at the Ice Rink in Pyongyang to commemorate the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il. Present at the ceremony were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Ryong Hae, officials concerned, sportspersons and working people. Also attending it were the overseas Koreans' delegations, compatriots, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front and foreign guests. Figure skaters from the DPRK, Russia, China, Bulgaria, France and Finland entered the ice rink. Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Pak Myong Chol made an opening address. Then followed a demonstration performance "Great sun of Songun shining all over the world". The DPRK figure skaters staged colorful numbers such as "Fortune of Korea", "Song of love for people" and "Footsteps." They impressively represented the faith and will of all the service persons and people to make this year a year of prosperity to be specially recorded in the glorious history of Kim Il Sung's nation, Kim Jong Il's Korea under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, holding Kim Jong Il, eternal heart and great power of the DPRK, in high esteem. Skating With Brian Anderson: Epicly Later'd
Since 1996 Brian has constantly evolved as a pro skater. When his first video part came out in Toy Machine's Welcome to Hell, he came out of nowhere and held his own along side some of the heaviest names in skateboarding at the time. By the time his part in Jump off a Building came out, he was pro. To continue his ascension to legend status, the following year he was awarded Thrasher's SOTY He moved on to Girl Skateboards, and his skating got even better. Patrick says it best in the intro when he talks about Brian being a regular dude who happened to get the opportunity to become pro, and didn't kook it. This episode is slightly less extreme than the others but I tried to make the noob one funnier, the amateur one more simplistic and the L33T one more skillful.
