Sight Adjustment Basics
My method for adjusting sights. Yes, some sights are not adjustable, but the principle is the same, whether you need to replace the rear sight with a taller one or if you need to replace the front sight, or file it down. :-) Somehow, you want to get the bullets hitting where the sights are aligned, or get the sights aligned with where the bullets are going. :-)

She was a wonderfully strong person and I'm glad I had the brief opportunity to know her. ********* Holly Bartlett has a huge personality inside her small frame. She works full-time, takes Master's classes at night, volunteers and takes part in a wide range of activities from public speaking to swing dancing. She refusing to let being blind stop her from living her life. In this film she talks about the adjustments she's made to compensate for her vision loss, and the tricks and tools she uses to perform the daily tasks most people take for granted, from checking her email to learning the office layout on her first day of work. Holly's room mate, and friend of 10 years Andrew, offers a personal view of Holly. These two know each other so well they even tell the same story of how they met. Andrew can understand Holly's frustration in dealing with people who assume little of her because of her disability, he uses a wheelchair and gets many of the same reactions from strangers. Sights Unseen is not about a heroic young woman overcoming a disability - it's about a normal young woman living a busy, but normal, life. Marlin 795: "The 4.5 lb .22 Sharpshooter" by Nutnfancy
Another Hall of Fame .22 rifle in the Nutnfancy Project, the Marlin 795 is a winner on most accounts. Weighing a featherweight 4 ½ pounds, this little gun carries easily and shoulders rapidly. And yet it features a thick solid steel 18" barrel with Mircogroove rifling. As promised in Marlin literature, this barrel delivers astounding accuracy with all sorts of different loads. The gun in its current version features a well-designed synthetic stock that is tough and waterproof. It has the minor downsides of slickness and somewhat dull checkering (addressed in vid). The sights work well and the rear sight is drifted in the dovetail for windage corrections and the receiver is grooved for scope use. The trigger pulls around 6 lbs in this example and does have some mushiness to it although it did not seem to impair the 795's accuracy which proved to be phenomenal. Firepower is just ten rounds with the reliable and high quality Marlin factory magazines. Similar to the also excellent Marlin Model 60, the 795 has the added advantage of quick magazine changes to get back into the action quicker. Aftermarket higher capacity options like the Shooter's Ridge® mags have proven unreliable and flimsy and I await an extended option from Marlin factory (hopefully featuring polymer bodies and stainless steel feed lips). Magazine swap out is a little bit slower than other guns like the 10/22 but satisfactory in the recreational POU in which the 795 excels. The last shot hold open (LSHO ...
