Music Composers : Ajay-Atul, This is my vocal cover rendition of this beautiful bhajan/devotional song -- a prayer to Lord Ganesha -- remover of all obstacles -- this song was made famous by Shankar Mahadevan's very beautiful rendition set to music composition by Ajay-Atul who have given a unique musical flavor in this song as a fusion of choir vocals with Indian classical singing. This song has been a personal favorite ever since my dear friend Harshan pointed me to it several years ago. The song is also unique in that it is probably the only Bollywood song in recent history that is in Sanskrit language and one that has become a commercial success. I have taken a voice cut track intending to demo the cover as no karaoke track was available. No copyright infringement intended as this is only to demo vocals and hence I cannot share the track. This song is a very popular and dear one for me and was for the audience who appreciated it very much. Not close to the original but I hope I have done justice to KJ Yesudas Anna's fantastic original rendition.

There are 26 million Osteoporosis sufferers in India which is expected to touch 36 million in the next 3 years making India the largest affected countries in the world. Moreover, 1 in 2 women and 1 in 8 men above the age of 50 suffers from Osteoporotic fractures in India. The belief that osteoporosis is prevalent in the West and rare in the East is a myth. The incidence of hip fracture has already risen 2- to 3-fold in most Asian countries during the past 30 years. In India alone there are more than 4,00000 hip fractures occurring due to osteoporosis every year. By 2050 more than 50% of all osteoporotic fractures will occur in Asia. Osteoporosis is greatly under diagnosed and under treated in India, even in the most high risk patients who have already fractured. The under recognition of osteoporosis is mainly due to a lack of structured awareness programs from both physicians and the pharmaceutical companies.
