PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS This is a video showing a couple of my short barrel shotguns registered on a Form 1 with the ATF. This video is to show the shotgun builds and not my skill at shooting them (or lack there of). When I am working on a firearm build I try to get as much info on them as possible. I hope this video will give some ideas to those looking to legally build a NFA shotgun. The majority of ammo fired was Remington field loads with some 00 Buck thrown in on each (I only had one box to shoot between the two). Side by Side SBS: The double barrel shotgun is a Stoeger Uplander which from the factory sported 26" barrels. The barrels are now 11" with a 19" overall length. The front was a strait cut. It appears the top and bottom ribs are soldered the length of the barrel. I still plan to cold blue the cut and might fill up the front gap between the barrels with black silicon or something else for looks. Also for looks I may add a bead sight. The majority of the stock was cut off with a table saw and the grip was held in a vice while I grinded the grip to how I wanted it. I had to find a new bolt to hold the grip on and I had to use a dremmel to open up the new screw hole to recess the bolt head into the grip. After that I stained and sealed the stock set. I thought about plugging the hole but it isn't uncomfortable to me when firing it so it will stay as is for right now. Pump Shotgun: The other shotgun is a Remington 870 Express Magnum ...

PART 1 OF ////////////////// Few handheld small arms equal the knockdown power and devastation of a competently wielded combat shotgun. In this multi-part review series by Nutnfancy, three excellent pump combat shotguns are covered in detail: the Remington 870 (Talo Special Edition), the Mossberg 590A1, and the discontinued Winchester 1300 Defender (similar gun by FN USA now). There are a couple of other players in pumps like FN, Charles Daly, and some off brands but these three are the stars of the series. Several semi-automatic combat shotguns also compete against this type and these brands. These autos include the Benelli Super 90/M2/M4, the Remington 1100/11-87 Tactical series, the Mossberg 930, Saiga variations, the Beretta FP101(discontinued), Winchester Super X3 (more of a hunting gun), FN SLP, and a few others. However these auto guns rarely function well on low-base/low power shot loads, needing full power loads to reliably cycle (w/o port or spring mods). Seemingly not a big deal right? Wrong. That's because you have to train on the shotgun to get good at it., pump or auto. Training with full power loads will bankrupt you if you are paying the bill (even PDs have a tough time affording the cost), you will soon quit, and your skills will suffer. The Tank Cartridge, 120mm, Canister, XM1028, is a tank round comprised of 1150 (est.) tungsten balls, which are expelled upon muzzle exit. There is no fuse on this round. While the dispersion pattern increases with range as the velocity of the balls decreases, the dense tungsten balls are used to minimize the velocity fall-off. This program responds to the USFK urgency of need signed by the CINC in Dec '99. RAPT Initiative Funding to be used for 6.0M in FY02 to accelerate development by one year earlier than previously planned. This round meets urgent CINC, USFK requirements to provide effective rapid lethal reaction against massed assaulting infantry armed with hand held anti-tank and automatic weapons at close range (500 meters or less) thereby improving survivability. Additionally, this round will significantly increase the tank's lethality and enhance the tank crew's survivability. This additional capability will give the Abrams Tank the ability to survive RPG ambushes and to fully support friendly infantry assaults. The M1028 Integrated Product Team achieved type classification standard of the canister round on 24 June 2005. The achievement followed closely their urgent release action, with rounds from early lots already headed to where they will do the most good.
