Sharp is demonstrating the most insane HDTV ever, at 8K4K, they recorded a bunch of demonstration videos, the quality is amazing. Here's a video interview with a product manager. They say that the sources for 8K4K content are missing, but we can all at least upscale our 20 Megapixel consumer photo camera pictures on there, and I think they should just tell Hollywood to transfer the 8K4K versions of all movies onto cheap soon to cost $50 2TB hard drives. "Insanely Sharp Knives" by Nutnfancy (Edge Pro Apex)
Chances are the knife in your pocket is dull. Really dull. I know because I've seen it! But like automobile maintenance, keeping your blades in top operation form should be a priority. Otherwise it will let you down when you might really need it. I start off the vid by showing you my own medium capability hand sharpening skill on a SOG Gov-Tac. It's ranks about a 6 out of 10 for impressiveness. But not the Edge Pro Apex sharpener. This is a solid 10, the best sharpener I've ever found. The EPA is a compact and easy to taking along manual sharpening system that REALLY works. Much hype has accompanied other sharpeners and I've been disappointed in each one on most levels. They don't' come close to the capabilities of this one. Here I take you for the sharpening ride with the awesome Microtech SOCOM, somewhat dulled after TNP cutting tests. With its S35V steel, it's a perfect test bed for this exercise. Covered in this reference Nutnfancy vid: philosophy on sharpening (and the sometimes elitist controversy that surrounds it), setup, sharpening angles, technique and practice, stone selections, gotcha's, and the many upsides to the Edge Pro Apex.
