OFFICIAL SHAOLIN TRAILER
China is plunged into strife as feuding warlords try to expand their power by warring over neighbouring lands. Fuelled by his success on the battlefield, young and arrogant Hao Jie sneers at Shaolin's masters when he beats one of them in a duel. When his family is wiped out by a rival warlord, Hao is forced to take refuge with the monks. As the civil unrest spreads and the people suffer, Hao and the Shaolin masters are forced to take a fiery stand against the evil warlords and they launch a daring plan of rescue and escape. Not since the legendary kung fu film Shaolin Temple stormed the world in the 1970's has a movie been given permission to film in the actual Shaolin Temple. This honour has been bestowed on this lavish modern production starring Andy Lau and Jackie Chan. Set for release in December, SHAOLIN is one of Asia's most eagerly anticipated film events.

Shaolin (2011) HD Movie Trailer
As feuding warlords fight to expand their power, the noble monks of the Shaolin Temple clean up the mess left behind, tending to the injured while trying their best to protect the poor and weak. General Hou (Andy Lau, WARLORDS, HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS) has caused much of this mess with his violent and ruthless tactics that rarely discriminate between soldiers and civilians. When Hao is betrayed by fellow general Cao Man (Nicholas Tse, THE PROMISE, SHAOLIN SOCCER), he is forced into hiding, and takes refuge with the monks (including Jackie Chan) at their hidden mountain temple. As the days pass, he finds himself more and more at ease as he learns the ways of peace, and begins to release his hatred through Martial Zen. But Cao is not far behind, and war soon reaches the temple, where the monks are ready to fight back- with their unstoppable Shaolin Kung Fu. Shaolin
In a young Republic of China, where greedy warlords fuel a period of war and strife, Hou Jie (Andy Lau) arrogantly shows no mercy to his enemies seeking refuge with the benign and compassionate Shaolin monks. After unscrupulously killing a wounded enemy, Hou Jie pays a terrible price for his actions and is forced to seek refuge in the same Shaolin Monastery he blatantly disrespected. Hou Jie's traitorous second-in-command Cao Man (Nicholas Tse) continues where the once-warlord left off, betraying his country and his own people. Hou Jie must adapt to Shaolin principles to stop the monster he created.

Invincible Shaolin
Here's my second kung fu movie upload, the Chang Cheh directed "Venom Mob" classic, "Invincible Shaolin", released here to the US as "The Unbeatable Dragon." This is my personal favorite of all of the "Venoms" films, due to the amount and quality of the fight choreography, as well as the Shaw's penchant for outstanding period costumes and sets. The plot has more holes in it than Swiss cheese, but who cares? You get the whole "heroic brotherhood" thing going on, along with the exceptional kung fu, acrobatics courtesy of Chiang Sheng and Kuo Chui, and Sun Chien's tae kwon do kicks. (As a side note, Kuo Chui would go on to choreograph both "The Brotherhood of The Wolf" and that James Bond flick with Michelle Yeoh, who's title escapes me at the moment.) Like the previously uploaded "Bruce Lee The Man The Myth", I first saw "Invincible Shaolin" (under that "The Unbeatable Dragon" title) here on the Bay Area's KTVU Channel 2, back in 1982 when I was just a tyke of 12 years old. So there's also a lot of nostalgia involved here in this upload. Hopefully, if you grew up back then too, you'll have some fond childhood memories of these "Black Belt Theater" flicks as well.
Shaolin Monk Rain Demonstration
The Shaolin Monks of China perform a private demonstration for United Studios of Self Defense an American Martial Arts Organization. The demonstration took place at the Shaolin Temples in Henan China. The monks performed the demonstration even though it rained. The Shaolin temples (Shàolín Sì) are a group of Chinese Buddhist monasteries famed for their long association with Chán (Japanese Zen) Buddhism and martial arts. They are perhaps the Buddhist monasteries most familiar in the West. The name "Shaolin" means "Young Forest". Shaolin is situated on China's central Taoist sacred mountain, Songshan in Henan province. It was founded during the Northern Wei dynasty in approximately 497 AD and remains one of China's oldest Buddhist temples. It was said to have been used as a home by the Indian monk Batuo during the thirty years he spent preaching Nikaya Buddhism in China. Probably the most famous name associated with Shaolin is that of Bodhidharma or Tamo (pinyin: Dámó), an Indian monk who travelled to China in 5th century to teach Buddhism. A traditional story relates that Bodhidharma sat in meditation facing a wall in a nearby cave for nine years. Bodhidharma's ministry at Shaolin formed the basis for what would later be called the Zen or, in China, Chán (both terms means Meditation) school of Buddhism. After entering Shaolin, it is said that Bodhidharma found the monks out of shape from a lifetime spent only in study and scholasticism, so he introduced a regimen of ...

The 36th Chamber of Shaolin
The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (少林三十六房, Shào Lín sān shí liù fáng), also known as The Master Killer and Shaolin Master Killer, is a 1978 Shaw Brothers kung fu film directed by Liu Chia-liang and starring Gordon Liu. The film follows a highly fictionalized version of San Te, a legendary Shaolin martial arts disciple who trained under the general Chi Shan, portrayed by the director's adopted brother Gordon Liu. 36th Chamber of Shaolin is widely considered to be one of the greatest kung fu films and a turning point in its director's and star's careers. It was followed by Return to the 36th Chamber, which was more comedic in presentation and featured Gordon Liu as the new main character with another actor in the smaller role of San Te, and Disciples of the 36th Chamber. Shaolin Yi Jin Jing Muscle & Tendon Changing Classic
"The basic purpose of Yijinjing is to turn flaccid and frail sinews and tendons into strong and sturdy ones. The movements of Yijinjing are at once vigorous and gentle. Their performance calls for a unity of will and strength, ie using ones will to direct the exertion of muscular strength. It is coordinated with breathing. Better muscles and tendons means better health and shape, more resistance, flexibility, endurance, and is obtained as follows: - postures influences the static and nervous structure of the body - stretching muscles and sinews affects organs, joints, meridians and Qi - torsion affects metabolism and Jing production - breathing produce more and better refined Qi - active working gives back balance and strength to body and mind (brain, nervous system and spirit). The Yì Jin Jing (Chinese: ???; Wade-Giles: I Chin Ching; literally "Muscle/Tendon Change Classic") is a qìgong manual most notable as the source of the attribution of Shaolin Kung Fu to Bodhidharma, though this has been doubted by several martial arts historians. Pan Wei was a devoted student and practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine, and his treatise in the form of- a preface reflects his vast knowledge of this subject. It is common knowledge that within the works of Lao-Zu, Chuang Zu, and even Mencius, many references are made to the ancients practicing various forms of breathing exercises. Pan Wei says that he had consulted various medical treatises; however, he did not mention that any ...

Monks From The Shaolin Temple USA Perform
After a recent class in Shaolin Kung Fu, monks from the Shaolin Temple USA put on an impromptu performance. Master Shi Yanran performed "Fiery Whirlwind Staff," using a staff to create whirlwind currents around his body. Shifu Shi Hengyu performed "Drunken Sword," in which the monk staggered as if drunk, a disguise -- Shaolin monks do not consume alcohol -- designed to confuse the attacker with unexpected moves and attacks. LEARN THE ART ofKUNGFU : www.vlawac.com Shaolin is an Art, it has nothing to do with sports or brawling, it is about balance, readiness and selfcontrol, it works wel for selfdefense and will inprove your health and fitness... The form is only one way of training and this is only one of the maney forms. We will never know if it is original but surely it is powerfull and fluent : try moving like this and you will notice it is hard to keep up with his pace and at the same time keep all details right ! just try it instead of sitting and lookin ;-) but before you try : warm up and get more flexible first ! succes ;-)g ONE MORE WORD ON FIGHTINGSPORTS : this thing is something created for people who like to see a kind of gladiators... the gladiators are foolish enough to step in the arena's for the sake of money or honour and some have even a Message to the world ! But most of them get hurt after a while (look at ALI). Shaolin on the other hand is a REAL MARTIAL ART : though it may seem to some that it has features in common with contemporary "Fight-Sports" this is an illusion ! Shaolin does not advocate any kind of violence but is a search for Balance, non-egotism, and non-violence ! So while they practice selfdefence techniques they strive not to use it ! Try to grasp that concept ! Then stop comparing the 2 : they are totally different in Purpose ! YOU CAN LEARN KUNGFU at VLAWAC www.vlawac.com
