Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan enthralled the students of Yale University as he came to the Ivy League institution as a Chubb Fellow, one of its top honours. A crowd gathered outside the Shubert Theatre early in the afternoon and as the day went on the line snaked around the corner. Fans travelled from as far as Alabama and California to join with members of the New Haven and Yale community to hear Khan speak to a capacity audience of about 1700. Khan charmed the crowd as he spoke to them about success and failure and how to live life to the fullest. He encouraged young people to find fulfilment in creativity, to learn to laugh at themselves and to never become cynical about their lives. "Failure is a fiendish friend that can lead to success by teaching one to be pragmatic, to work harder, and to be true to oneself," he said, adding that the true strength of one's friendships is tested in the face of strong adversity. Khan emphasised the importance of young people appreciating and cherishing their parents' love. "Whatever you do, whichever mistakes you make, your parents are your best friends," he said. The lecture took a light-hearted turn when Khan danced his signature 'Chammak Challo' moves with Yale student Natalia Khosla. "This is the most fun I have had in months!" Khan said. Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan clarified that the whole issue of the brawl at the Wankhede stadium arose when he had gone to pick up his kids after the match and saw that they were being manhandled by some stadium officials. Khan further said that he would not apologize for the incident but expects the stadium officials to apologize for the way they ill-treated children and the kind of language they used against him. The King Khan further said that he would have a word with BCCI President Vilasrao Deshmukh and give his side of the story. in conclusion, Khan said that if he sees children under his responsibility being manhandled, he would react in the same way.

Shah Rukh Khan: I only work to make the public happy
Shah Rukh Khan has bagged two awards at the Screen awards recently and the superstar is happy not only for himself but also for his kids who he says are also his competitors. "It feels nice to win awards. There is a sense of competition with my kids because they win prizes for racing, taekwondo, riding etc. So I'll go home and show my kids that even I have won two awards," the 46-year-old actor said here at the awards function. He bagged popular choice best actor for "Don 2: The KIng Is Back" and best jodi award for his pairing with Priyanka Chopra. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh had two releases this year and both the films - "Ra. One" and "Don 2" - crossed the Rs.100 crore-mark at the box office. He says he does not work for money and added: "I understand the rupees and crores less and you understand it even lesser. Please don't ask me questions on crores and stuff like that. I have been working hard for 20 years and only work to make the public happy. "Hopefully, this year too I'll work with the same motive and not count numbers. Telephones have numbers and not actors, producers." SRK is currently working in Yash Chopra's next untitled film with Katrina Kaif. He is also co-producing "Student Of the Year" with Karan Johar.
