Original description: I lowered the graphical quality of Half-Life 2 by a huge amount, and this is the result. I'm sorry for jumping around too much. Also, I forgot to disable vertical sync, so the whole time the game was running at a solid 60. I have no idea what the capabilities where beyond that if I had removed the cap. GTA IV - PC Maximum Settings [HD Enabled]
More sample gameplay from GTA IV PC at maximum possible settings. Gameplay in this video includes both high speed driving through the middle of the city, as well as a helicopter flyover over most of the map. Game settings: 1920x1200, All maximum, VSync Off. Settings are shown at the start of the video for confirmation. Using version 1.0.3.0 of GTA IV. FRAPS has reduced the FPS by 20-50% at times, but even with FRAPS running the gameplay is almost totally stutter free, even when flying over the city or driving rapidly through the middle of town with lots of detail for almost 10 minutes. The only tweaks or changes to the game itself are the use of the XLiveless mod and using the -norestrictions command line switch. The main reason for the smoothness is a combination of good hardware and system optimization via the TweakGuides Tweaking Companion ( www.tweakguides.com ). Good hardware alone is not sufficient to achieve this level of smoothness. Mafia 2 - PC Gameplay Max Settings, PhysX Max [Full HD]
Some basic gameplay from Mafia 2 PC, exploring the somewhat limited game world in the demo version and showing a range of features. Running at maximum possible settings, including AA On and 16x Anisotropic Filtering. PhysX has also been set to Maximum, hence all PhysX-related effects are enabled - explosions, shattered glass and smoke contain more particles/fragments, and clothing moves around more realistically. My framerates with these settings are usually around 25-35FPS - though recording with FRAPS has reduced FPS by a further 20% for this video. System specs: www.tweakguides.com .

Read description for info and RAGE driver links As I stated in the commentary for this clip it is not like my other comparisons because there are not settings for this game other than the resolution and AA, so what I have done is recorded the gameplay and comparison in one video. The video you see is me playing for the first 15 minutes of the game. As for the comparison part of the video, you will notice it pauses every once in a while, what it is showing is two screenshots. First shot is 1152x648 AA off Second shot is 1920x1080 8xAA As for benchmark info, again, I didnt see a reason to do one for this game since the settings are so reduced (damn console port) so for the benchmark info here you go. Low resolution w/AA off - 60fps (seems to be locked) High resolution w/8xAA - 30-45 fps Also, FRAPS will not record this game on anything less than the lowest settings possible for my system. It will make it nearly impossible for others with lower ends to record gameplay. I even have the ATI optimized drivers for Rage installed, here are the links for those. You can do this in Manual mode as well. #1 First set the ISO (for a Sunny day, pick lowest ISO, for cloudy start with ISO400) #2 Select aperture or f/stop # (your desired depth of field) Group shot or solo portrait? #3 Focus to see if shutter speed is fast enough - If Shutter speed is fast enough, take the picture - If shutter speed is not fast enough then increase the ISO to get to desired shutter speed OR open up your aperture to get to fast enough shutter speed. #4 If you're ISO is already too high and shutter speed is just shy of "minimum shutter speed" then see if you can open up the aperture Note: If your ISO is 100 or 200 and you're not getting fast enough shutter speed then you either open up your aperture OR increase the ISO to get faster shutter speed.

Roxio Game Cap Best Video Settings Guide (MW3 Gameplay Commentary)
Step 1: Set your Xbox or PS3 intro 720p mode. Also double check to see that it's in proper widescreen. Step 2: In your Roxio Capture Window select AVI as the file type to record into. This is the most troubling step from a technical standpoint. The default DIVX has a resolution of 848x480 or true 480p. However the codec bleaches colors quite badly and it compresses the videos a lot so the bit rate is very low. AVI records in 720x480 (upscaled 480p) but handles colors much nicer and has over ten times the bit rate of DIVX. If somebody can tell me how to fix the DIVX bit rate, that will be the better format. Step 3: Click on the half sun thing in the capture window and change the color correction settings to: Brightness = 108 Hue = 64 Sharpness = 0 Contrast = 32 Saturation = 36 Of note, if your brightness is significantly different than mine, these settings may be off. I will always recommend leaving sharpness at 0. Play with the brightness until the colors look rich or thick. Move the saturation slide only slightly as small movements make big differences in color. Step 4: Click Output, then Export As, then chose "No" when the "Do you want to save..." prompt appears. Then in the second drop down menu under video quality chose Divx 848x480 or Windows Media 9 1280x720 depending on your preference. These are the best settings I know for the capture card. Let me know if you guys can do better.
