Seldom
A personal project by Philip. I don't say "thank you" to my family as often as I should or could for all they've done for me in my lifetime, but I'm trying to change. During Thanksgiving last year (2008) while visiting home, I took out my camcorder and shot this little piece in one evening with my dad. The thxgiving meal is with my mom, sister, grandma, and cousin. I held onto the footage over the past year and finally edited it recently. Thought it'd be cool to share it with the holiday coming up. Hope you enjoy this simple (staged) moment and can find the same moments in your life. Music by David Choi youtube.com davidchoimusic.com Special thanks to "jeh" my sister. Joe Beats - Seldom Seen
Maker & Joe Beats - Falcon By Design (2011) 2 of North America's most interesting and concealed independent hip-hop producers, Chicago's Maker and Rhode Island's Joe Beats, have teamed up for a collaborative LP on Fieldwerk Recordings titled Falcon By Design. The album which has 10 tracks split into two sides (one side for each artist) features pure, sample based tracks mixed with heavy breaks and bone crushing drums. A style that is a nod to hip-hop's beats of the past but also introduces a modern twist. On Maker's side of the LP, he institutes a continuous mix furthering his theme of evolving depth with beautifully composed, carefully constructed instrumentals. On the flip, Joe Beats does the opposite, staying true to himself and pressing on with what he is known for best: beats after beats after beats. soundcloud.com fieldwerk.com

THE OXFORD MURDERS HD Featurette Starring Elijah Wood
www.magpictures.com When an elderly woman is viciously murdered in Oxford, her body is discovered by two strangers whose lives are immediately changed forever: Arthur Seldom (John Hurt), a prestigious professor of logic, and Martin (Elijah Wood), a young graduate student who has just arrived at the university hoping to be Seldom's pupil. It quickly becomes clear that hers is the first in a series of increasingly bizarre murders, with each victim's corpse marked by strange symbols. Professor and student join forces to try and crack the code, setting into motion an elaborate game with the killer with ever-increasing stakes. As Martin gets closer to the facts, he grows increasingly unhinged from his grasp on the world around him. Based on Guillermo Martinez's award-winning novel, THE OXFORD MURDERS is an edgy and intelligent thriller from cult-favorite director, Álex de la Iglesia.

"Seldom Engagements" Pt 2 by Nutnfancy
PART 2 of 2010 TNP ALL STARS SHOOT ACTUAL SERIES //////////////// Come on out with us as friends running the Nutnfancy "Sledgehammer Drill." Time to make another Nutnfancy memory and maybe knock out some training and gear testing at the same time! Tools for the course of fire were tactical LBE, handguns and tactical carbines... all personal choices of the participants. Out in the beautiful "Nebraska" desert, this was a super fun outing with TNPrs. After laying down a serious foundation of range safety, gun handling, and doing the laborious course setup, it was off to the races. In Part 2, DrZmanproject and 1StepTooFar step it out in the Sledgehammer Drill with DrZ posting an impressive 39 points. Both did great for seldom coming being able to shoot tactical style! Later on we take time out for a "burger burn" and some lunch chat. This was about as many people we could handle in the SH; any more and there be more stress for me as people don't get a chance to shoot enough and just stand around waiting for their turn (and safely managing it all). We had a great representation of TNPrs at this shoot and I thank them all for making the long trip out to make the event such a big success. With all my past Sledgehammer Drill videos, I try hard to show the realities of this drill and what the systems and shooter are subjected to but there's really no replacing actually experiencing it. Just ask our TNP All Stars! ///////////////// Attendees: PFIDude [thanks for the help ...

The seldom heard roar-bark of the Maned Wolf
The Maned Wolf is a very unusual member of the dog family. Not a true wolf at all, it is the sole remaining remnant of the prehistoric carnivores from South American. Truly a unique and rare animal with a skunk like defense scent, a unique gate, and an amazing vocalization called a roar -bark. Ambrosia Holdin' On To Yesterday
One of the best but seldom heard tunes from the great group Ambrosia. Ambrosia was a group formed in Los Angeles in the early 1970's. The members of Ambrosia decided on the moniker in 1970 to represent a vision of their music: all shades, textures, colors and styles. While Ambrosia had many radio hits in the 1970s, much of the material on their five albums is progressive in nature. The founding constituents of Ambrosia were reared in Southern California in the area known as The South Bay, later adopting San Pedro as their hometown. Their initial musical influences, like many of their generation, came from The Beach Boys and The Beatles. Ambrosia fused symphonic art rock with a slick produced pop sound

DOWNLOAD:: www.savefile.com Lyrics:: Build your cages, pray for freedom Believe all your made up sages Sucked out from your social circle Is it worth the fifteen minutes? Sacrifice everything you know you love The dream entices you to give yourself away Sacrifice everything you know you love You miss the things you hated long ago Embelish your desired state Do you think it satiates? Sucked out from your social circle Is it worth the fifteen minutes? Dreams are seldom what they seem... Dreams are seldom what they seem... Sacrifice everything you know you love The dream entices you to give yourself away Sacrifice everything you know you love You miss the things you hated long ago You're so close... Donovan - Brother Sun, Sister Moon [from Franco Zeffirelli's "Brother Sun, Sister Moon"] (1972)
Brother Sun and Sister Moon I seldom see you seldom hear your tune Preoccupied with selfish misery Brother Wind and Sister Air Open my eyes to visions pure and fair That I may see the glory around me. I am God's creature, of Him I am part I feel His love awakening my heart. Brother Sun and Sister Moon I now do see you, I can hear your tune So much in love with all that I survey.
Elbow - Mirrorball
Lyrics below... Artist: Elbow Album: Seldom Seen Kid (03/17/08) Track no.3: Mirroball Label: Geffen Records I plump the kind of kiss that wouldn't wake a baby on the self-same face that wouldn't let me sleep; and the street is singing with my feet, and the dawn gives me a shadow I know to be taller. All down to you, dear. Everything has changed. My sorriness has made it to graffiti. I was looking for someone to complete me. Not anymore, dear; everything has changed. When we make the moon our mirror ball the street's an empty stage; the city sirens - violins. Everything has changed. So lift off love. (down to you, dear) Lift off love. (down to you, dear) We took the town to town last night. We kissed like we invented it! And now I know what every step is for: to lead me to your door. Know that while you sleep, everything has changed. We made the moon our mirror ball. The street's an empty stage; the city sirens - violins. Everything has changed. Everything has changed. Everything has changed. Down to you, dear/So lift off love Down to you, dear/ lift off love Down to you, dear/ lift off love Down to you, dear/ lift off love Down to you, dear/ lift off love Down to you, dear/ lift off love Down to you, dear/ lift off love Down to you, dear... Frank Stallone - Far From Over
BEST IN ENTERTAINMENT, Inc. presents Frank Stallone! Seldom has a performer been strongly considered for an Academy Award in both acting and music, yet Frank Stallone has managed to pull it off. His fiery portrayal of a brutish bartender Eddie in the film Barfly had Hollywood insiders abuzz at Oscar time, and his #1 hit Far From Over, from the film Staying Alive, was likewise touted for a 'Best Song' nomination. Its all in a days work for Frank a gifted artist who is equally comfortable on screen or on the concert stage. This Grammy and Golden Globe nominated artist has been everything from a street singer, a rock singer, to a big band singer. Frank was also nominated for a Grammy for best soundtrack and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song from the film Staying Alive. Frank has written songs for 11 films, and has recorded 8 solo albums and has had his music on the Billboard charts 8 times and still plays to SRO crowds in arenas and concert halls from Los Angeles to London. Frank made his on-screen singing debut, performing the self-penned song, sung acapella , 'Take You Back', in the opening scene of the film ROCKY in 1976. Frank has appeared in over 58 movies. One of his most memorable on- screen appearances was his role as Ed Bailey, a dangerous gunslinger in Tombstone, and as Eddie the bartender in Barfly, which gave rise to serious consideration for Frank for an Academy Award nomination, and won the acclaim of renowned film critic Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun Times ...

Unfold - Jason Mraz (with lyrics)
one of my favorite songs by him... enjoy! Lyrics: Hands in line Arms close to my side I'm fighting tides of an ocean's undertows And I figure that I might not make it And I'm taking empty But seldom speaking And the words retreat, yeah they breathing histories still at ease into stories untold And my arms unfold. My hands are high And I'm holding on, holding on But I figure that I just might make it And I'm waking empty but seldom sleeping And the words repeat breathing histories into stories untold And I unfold. See now, quality is what you see now in the corner of your eye. And don't be surprised if you hear the bells ring as They fall from the sky and they sound Bong, bong, bong, bong (x2) And I'm holding up (scatting) because I figure that II figure that I just make it. And I'm waking empty but seldom sleeping And the words repeat breathing histories into stories untold And I unfold.

Elbow - Starlings ( Seriously addictive )
Elbow and the BBC Concert Orchestra performing Starlings How dare the Premier ignore my invitations? He'll have to go So, too, the bunch he luncheons with It's second on my list of things to do At the top Is stopping by Your place of work and acting like I haven't dreamed of you and I And marriage in an orange grove You are the only thing in any room you're ever in I'm stubborn, selfish and too old. I sat you down and told you how the truest love that's ever found was for oneself You pulled apart my theory With a weary and disinterested sigh So yes I guess I'm asking you To back a horse that's good for glue And nothing else But find a man that's truer than, Find a man that needs you more than I Sit with me a while And let me listen to you talk about your dreams and your obsessions I'll be quiet and confessional The violets explode inside me when I meet your eyes Then I'm spinning and I'm diving Like a cloud of starlings Darling is this love?

Elbow - the bones of you
Elbow and the BBC Concert Orchestra performing The bones of you Chantage So I'm there Charging around with a juggernaut brow Overdraft, speeches and deadlines to make Cramming commitments like cats in a sack Telephone burn and a purposeful gait When out of a doorway the tentacles stretch Of a song that I know And the world moves in slow-mo Straight to my head like the first cigarette of the day And it's you, and it's May And we're sleeping through the day And I'm five years ago And three thousand miles away Do I have time? A man of my calibre Stood in the street like a sleepwalking teenager No. And I dealt with this years ago I took a hammer to every memento But image on image like beads on a rosary pulled through my head as the music takes hold and the sickener hits; I can work till I break but I love the bones of you That, I will never escape And it's you, and it's May And we're sleeping through the day And I'm five years ago And three thousand miles away And I can't move my arm Through the fear that you will wake And I'm five years ago And three thousand miles away
