This was a Japan exclusive game in the Mana series that many people aren't aware existed, but let's change that starting right now! The game continues to use the Ring Menu introduced by Secret of Mana, and while there are still limits on how many healing items you can have with you in battle you are able to store additional items in a 'Storage' menu, though you are unable to use any item in Storage during a battle. One very noticeable difference is that while Secret of Mana allows 3 players to control each character using the Multi-Tap accessory, Seiken Densetsu 3 does not support the Multi-Tap, and instead is merely a two player game. That said, Seiken Densetsu 3 is notable for introducing several gameplay and narrative elements that have since become trademarks of the series. The first is the Calendar system, where the game has a concept of time and as you play or sleep at inns, the sun will rise and fall, which has a huge impact on gameplay. During the night, some enemies may be sleeping and certain enemies might only be available to fight during the day. In this episode, we take on our first God Beast and move on to the next one. For those interested, I was soaking wet when recording this, because just when we started, we got a huge downpour of rain. I left the windows on my car open, so while closing them, I got drenched in an instant. I was also in a rush to make it in time for an appointment. As a result, I screwed up the boss fight and had to re-record a couple times. This was the only episode made during this recording session, so no other episodes will be affected by this. The biggest, baddest boss ever faced in a game, Black Rabite from Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2)! I show how to get to him, and the tactic in how to beat him (he reacts to any negative spell or tech on him, and heals himself with dark magic if you aren't prepared). As to why I didn't die at that one time Black Rabite chained some nasty spells, both Angela and Duran were casting (the char gets to finish the spell if 'dead', but dies right after; Angela got healed before she cast though so she lived).

In this episode, we discover why they call this place the Forest of Illusion, while searching for the Mana Stone of Darkness. To elaborate, you can win Weapon/Armor Seeds from Wolf Devils as a common drop. When you plant them, you'll get a random ultimate weapon, headgear, body armor, ring, or shield for one of your three characters. All that really matters are the weapons and body armors, so get at least 6 seeds for them. You will also need to exchange the equipment from your leader to the appropriate party members.
