Facebook IPO - What it Means
Because there is a bit of confusion about what IPOs are and, really, what the stock market is and how it works, I thought I'd take the IPO of Facebook as an opportunity to discuss it. In general, the "financial" part of our economy seems kind of crazy and embarrassing. Especially as, these days, a lot of what our economy does is just re-investing in our economy, seems dangerous. Maybe I will talk about it more in the future. As for Facebook, I really believe that it (and lots of other companies that offer free services to their users) are dramatically overvalued. I think Facebook went public at the right moment, and that it's stock price will dip substantially before it is correctly valued and starts growing again. But, y'know, I'm not a financial analyst. I do know that if Vlogbrothers was paid based on the same metric of $100 per user, we could sell our property for $20000000, which is, of course, several orders of magnitude of crazy. S&W M&P15 Sport review by Nutnfancy
The S&W Sport AR-15 is the best value AR I've seen yet. It's performance seems to exceed it's 2012 $650 price. This specimen was ran with both the BUIS (included MagPul MBUS rear sight) and an EOTECH XPS2-2 sights. It achieves impressive accuracy even with these zero magnification options: sub-inch groups with Wolf STEEL FMJ ammo, about 1.5 inches with higher quality ammo at 100 yds. The gun seems to be a 1 MOA capable shooter with some loads. Practical accuracy in RunNGun was excellent as well (shown). Part of this equation may be Thompson Center 5R rifling of the 4140 barrel featuring more gradual rifling lands to minimize jacket deformation and fouling. Tenifer-like Melonite transforms the barrel's interior and exterior metal surface through a carburizing process. It is more uniform than chrome lining and could offer similar durability. Reliability in cold conditions was 100% in the direct gas impingement Sport with both steel and brass loads shot. Ergonomics are good to excellent with the outfitting of its 6 pos. collapsible stock, A2 grip, MBUS rear, small diameter non-heat shield lined forearm, and a decent 5.5 lb trigger. Some surprisingly high quality features are found: staking of gas key, M4 feed ramps, bayonet lug, T-mark Pic rail, 7075 T6 FORGED lower, F-marked FSB that is roll pinned, and a mil-spec buffer tube. To save money (and unneeded weight), the S&W Sport lacks a dustcover and forward assist. We did not miss them. Weight is outstanding at just 6.5 lbs ...
Guude Games - Vessel - E01
I wanted to try out this vessel game. I have been sitting on this footage for about a week and wasn't going to upload it. I had a few people say they wanted to see it so here it is. I do not think I will be continuing this game so I hate to even show it. In my opinion this game doesn't seem to have that great of a storyline to wrap you up in it. It seems like an ok game to play through if you enjoy the puzzle aspect, but I do not think it leads towards a great Let's Play game. I hope you guys enjoy it, and if it looks fun check it out on steam, it was just released.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 - Part 1: Sylvania Castle Act 1 [1/2]
Watch it in 720p, etc. The start of Sonic 4 episode 2. Playing the PC version, since apparently it's not being released on the Wii. I've got to say, it's a much better game than episode 1. Maybe it's just because I haven't played episode 1 since I completed my first run of it, but it seems like they've fixed pretty much all of the problems. The physics seem better but I'm sure it'll still bother some people that when you use your homing attack you head down pretty much instantly. The level design isn't as bad, along with the music. They (thankfully) got rid of that god awful special stage in episode 1. ಠ_ಠ Now that Tails is with you, there's this Knuckles Chaotix-esque system, where you'll need your partner to continue on. I find it odd how they can never decide on a proper size of the emeralds, it's practically as big as Sonic's head in this. More in the description of the second video, since I'm too lazy to type it all out here. The second video is the rest of the zone + the boss, so it's around 15 minutes.
