BB Seaton - Thin Line Between Love And Hate
Harris "BB" Seaton is a main player on the reggae scene. He used to be the lead singer of one the best Jamaican vocal trio, The Gaylads, but he also produced some of the best reggae artists as Ken Boothe and Delroy Wilson. He also worked as a musician, songwriter and A&R at Studio One, Tip Top records and Beverleys records and auditioned vocal groups like The Heptones, The Melodians, The Kingstonians and The Termites. Born 3rd September 1944 in Kingston, he started singing and writing songs from his high school days, and grew up listening to American groups like the Platters, the Drifters, the Temptations and the Four Tops to name but a few. His artist name is indeed a tribute to his main reference the blues guitarist BB King. A 2.5 kW wind turbine and a 4.7 kW PV array on the roof of the school hall supply electricity directly to the school and have helped reduce CO2 emissions by about 2 tonnes a year. In addition, 48 m2 of solar water heating panels heat the school's outdoor swimming pool. Other green initiatives include class 'Energy Agents' to help reduce energy waste; the after-school 'Eco Club' to monitor energy use; a 2006 Energy Audit resulting in a host of energy efficiency measures; an orchard to provide fruit for pupils and save food miles; and a grey water collection system to supply the school wildlife pond and demonstrate small-scale water power.

Seaton Tramway Level Crossing
The tramway took over a former mainline railway branch along the River Axe estuary between Seaton Junction and the village of Seaton and operates a fleet of 'smaller sized' trams which run on track that is just 2'9" (approx 84 cms) wide. Most of the route is single track, although there are several passing places. The route passes through two nature reserves and in addition to being popular with tourists & visitors to the area special services are run so that ornithologists can enjoy their hobby too. There is one intermediate station, this being Colyford Junction in the village of Colyford. Next to this station there is a level crossing over a busy local road. The level crossing is protected by wig-wag flashing lights and an audible alert. It is activated on a 'by request' basis by the tram drivers. Note the twin wires - to avoid possible delays to road traffic caused by a dewirement where the route splits the overhead wires for the opposite directions of travel continue over the crossing. This video shows tram No. 12 (an open top double decker which looks somewhat like a former London Feltham tram) crossing the level crossing.

Seaton Tram - Colyford to Seaton
The Seaton Tramway is a 2ft gauge electric tramway in Devon, England, running a selection of vintage trams from the UK with the oldest being 105 years old. It runs for approximately 3 miles along the Axe estuary, on the trackbed of the old Seaton branchline which was closed in the 60's, from Seaton to Colyton, with an intermediate stop at Colyford where it crosses the A352. This video is a 'passengers eye view' of half of the run, slightly compressed to fit into Youtube's 10 minute schedule. The entire end-to-end trip is approximately 25 minutes, with half of it being alongside the River Axe, which is well known for its wildlife, and at low tide you will see many different varieties of bird on the mudflats.
