San Diego State University Tour (Raynox 0.5X Wide Angle Test)
- Shot with Canon Vixia HF100 and Raynox 0.5X Wide Angle adapter. - Edited in Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9, using Magic Bullet to do some very minor color correcting. Thoughts: I'm not the best at picking music to go with the video so please forgive. I'm still trying to pick up that talent some some Vimeo users have of matching just the right music to the video they're posting. But that's another topic. My main thought is what crap this wide angle adapter is. The image quality is just horrendous. I think that after this I will never use it again and may sell it cheap on eBay for those that want a cheap wide angle (it's BRAND NEW damnit!). Anyways, this weekend I'm going to try and re-shoot without this adapter to show the difference. My main beef with this adapter is the bad distortion you get and poor image quality: softness, fuzziness, etc. even when wide opened like you're suppose to use it. Oh well, I hope my experience is useful to you and that you don't waste money on this adapter. Maybe the more expensive Canon wide angle is better but stay away from this!

SDSU Insider is a half-hour news magazine-style show featuring stories that provide an "inside look" at SDSU's people, programs and initiatives in order to engage in a wider audience of alumni and potential donors. This pilot episode includes a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of outgoing university President Stephen Weber; an interview with President and Mrs. Weber; a profile of one of SDSU's student veterans and a look at the nationally-ranked SDSU Men's Basketball team, including an interview with Head Coach Steve Fisher and Senior Point Guard DJ Gay.

The half-hour show features a look at local healthcare, a hike up historic "S" Mountain and a student working toward Olympic gold. A new episode of SDSU Insider will hit the airwaves later this week. It will also air later this month on The Mtn. and KPBS, and is available now on SDSU's YouTube channel. The third episode of the SDSU Insider features SDSU's Engineering Research Center, where faculty and students are developing technology that could help paralyzed people move again. Semester at SDSU The ALI offers advanced English students an easy way to sample one or two semesters of study at an American university without going through the regular university admissions process. SDSU offers more than 3000 class sections each semester in more than 80 different academic fields. A large number of these classes have additional spaces available after SDSU students have enrolled. Semester at SDSU allows international students to take advantage of these extra spaces.
