This concert was recorded in 2000 with the world famous Berliner Philharmoniker orchestra. It contains a string of Scorpions classics such as Big City Nights, Dynamite, Wind Of Change and Still Loving You, performed by the band with full orchestral support.

Die Scorpions sind eine deutsche Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Band aus Hannover. Die erfolgreichste Besetzung der Scorpions waren Francis Buchholz (Bass), Klaus Meine (Gesang), Matthias Jabs (Gitarre), Rudolf Schenker (Gitarre) und Herman Rarebell (Schlagzeug). In dieser Besetzung veröffentlichen sie Hits wie „Blackout", „Still loving You", „No one like you" oder „Rock you like a Hurricane" , die international bis heute zu den Rockklassikern gezählt werden. In Deutschland wird der Sound der Band oft auf ihre Ballade „Wind of Change" reduziert. Charakteristisch für den Sound sind harte Powerchord-Gitarrenriffs von Rudolf Schenker im Zusammenspiel mit den melodiösen Soli von Matthias Jabs sowie die hohe metallische Stimme von Frontmann Klaus Meine und solide simple Standard-Schlagzeug-Rockbeats. Häufig zählt man sie zu den Initiatoren der so genannten Powerballade. Bands wie Metallica, Bon Jovi, und Def Leppard spielten in jungen Jahren als Vorband für die Scorpions. Billy Corgan, Frontmann der Smashing Pumpkins, zählt die Scorpions als seinen größten musikalischen Einfluss.
