The Idol of Personal Peace and Affluence (Schaeffer) [1of3]
I posted this three part series because it is such a horrible problem today, and it needs to be addressed. Francis Schaeffer addressed it in the best way I've seen so I wanted to share it with you all. The idol of 'personal peace and affluence' is being served not only by those professing atheism and humanism, but also many who profess Jesus Christ. It is a damnable idol which is a product of humanism or a person being consumed with themselves. This idol as all idols needs to be abstained from. I've posted several clips of Schaeffer's before, but they are all coming from the same source: his wonderful DVD documentary called "How Then Shall We Live".
