Saturn's Mysterious Moons (V1)

Watch this and other space videos at SpaceRip.com Make sure you see version 2 of this video. Some 900 million miles from the Sun,orbiting the planet Saturn, lies a mysterious world. Enceladus is enveloped in ice. Because nearly all of the sunlight that manages to hit its surface is reflected back into space, it's one of the brightest objects in the solar system. At its equator, the temperature is --315 degrees Fahrenheit. But, at the poles, the temperature is at least 15 degrees warmer... and as much as 65 degrees warmer in grooves that stretch across the south like tiger stripes. In 2005, the Cassini spacecraft spotted a complex plume of water vapor shooting out into space from several locations near the south pole. That may mean that Enceladus harbors a remarkable secret below its frigid surface A liquid ocean... and maybe... some forms of life. This discovery was the culmination of a search that began over three decades ago. Back in 1979, the outer planets of the solar system lined up in such a way that mission planners were able to dispatch the Voyager spacecraft to fly past each of them. The two Voyagers sent back tens of thousands of images... of planetary realms more diverse than anyone had imagined. These long-distance marathon flyers - both now headed out towards interstellar space - made discoveries about the planetary chemistry that make these gas giants appear to us as gigantic works of abstract art. The Voyagers disclosed new details about their magnetic ...

Alien Speech? Found in NASA's Saturn Radio Signal

www.tjmitchell.com Link to NASA File for Download.. saturn.jpl.nasa.gov I just wanted to thank everyone for their input..good and bad... I still have no idea yet what this is...I innocently raised it 12 tones and this is what appeared. I dont mean it to be 'scare-mungoring' its just to my mind (as a musician) it has definite patterns to the ear..whether speech, asteroids, magnetic waves, im not qualified to say, but all I know is...its an interesting pattern...JVD Important info - Please read: Speech patterns have been found in a radio signal released by NASA almost 3 years previously in 2004. Judge the sound for yourself, it is a very bizarre anomaly but very much worth investigating. Instructions: 1) Download and save the original WAV file from NASA/Cassini website: saturn.jpl.nasa.gov 2)Open an audio editor like Cool Edit or Sonar and raise the pitch/frequency of the file by 12 tones with the pitch shifter.. and there it is, speech patterns. How can anyone explain this anomaly. Certainly NASA have no explanation for it after we presented the file to them for their opinion. SETI also dont know what make of it. What do you think? Saturn's Mysterious Moons

Watch this and other space videos at SpaceRip.com Watch in high-resolution 1080p. Launched three years before the new century... a spacecraft wound its way through the empty reaches of the solar system. On Earth, its progress was little noted, as it swung twice by the planet Venus, then our moon. And Earth. The asteroid belt. And Jupiter. Almost seven years later, on the first of July 2004, the Cassini probe entered the orbit of Saturn. It then began to compile what has become one of the greatest photographic collections of all time, of a giant gas planet, surrounded by colorful rings, guarded by a diverse collection of moons, and millions of tiny moonlets. Within this record, is a trail of clues... pointing to the energy sources and complex chemistry needed to spawn life. What are these mysterious worlds telling us about the universe, and Earth? In the outer reaches of the solar system, a billion and a half kilometers from the Sun... there is a little world known as Enceladus. Nearly all of the sunlight that strikes its icy surface is reflected back into space, making it one of the brightest objects in the solar system. At its equator, the average temperature is minus 198 degrees Celsius. It can rise about 70 degrees higher in grooves that stretch across the south pole like tiger stripes. Looming over it is the giant planet Saturn. In myth, Saturn - the Roman name for the primal Greek God Chronos - was the youngest son of Gaia, or Earth, and Uranus, sky. Wielding a ...

STEVIE WONDER - SATURN-

Extraído del album "Songs in the key of life" . ----------- Extracted from the album " Songs in the key of life " ( Historical disc) For me it´s the Stevie Wonder's best work. Edited in 1976, it was the first LP that I bought in my life. From there I had many more , of course. I´ve chosen this one beautiful song, to put images to this one planet that is called me powerfully the attention, it will be because I had the occasion to observe it across a telescope and it seemed to me beautiful and magic. I have compiled real photos of the planet and others fictitious. I wait that the Astronomy fans, excuse to me if I have committed some failure in the montage of the video. Saturn 3 (trailer)

"Saturn 3" is a super cheesy post-"Alien" sci-fi flick that enjoyed about ten minutes' fame in the Eighties due to the fact that in one scene Farrah Fawcett's left nipple is fully exposed for approximately 1.271 seconds. The psychotic robot is pretty much fucking undeniably cool, though. Harvey Keitel's voice was overdubbed prior to release due to the producers' nervousness about his heavy "Brooklynese" accent. A minor camp classic. I will always love you, "Saturn 3"...(sniffle)...

White storm on Saturn through amateur telescope near 2011 opposition

The telescope used to make this Saturn video is a humble Celestron NexStar 5SE XLT, 5 inches (125mm) aperture over an alt-azimuth mount. Looking through the Celestron NexStar 5SE XLT there is a DSLR camera -a Canon EOS 450d (Rebel XSi)- for recording Saturn. The Cassini Division shown in this video is a 4800 km (2980 mile) void region inside Saturn's rings. It was discovered in 1675 by Giovanni Cassini. From Earth-based telescopes it appears as a thin black gap in the rings. This video is about what you can observe looking through a not expensive amateur telescope in your backyard. Someone asked me for a under 100US$ telescope, and here it is my advice: www.amazon.com Saturn, Rings, shadow, Cassini division, opposition, 2011, Telescope, Celestron NexStar 5SE XLT, Astronomy, Astrophotography, Astrophoto, Backyard, Canon EOS 450d, Rebel XSi, video, DSLR, Live video, SCT, Catadioptric, Space, Science, Solar system, Registax, stacking, wavelets

The Eerie Sounds Of Saturn

Watch this and other space videos at SpaceRip.com The Cassini spacecraft has been detecting intense radio emissions from the planet Saturn. Saturn through a Telescope

Every wonder what Saturn looks like through a large amateur telescope? Well here it is, taken with a TouCam webcam, 3x barlow through a Celestron C9.25". The shimmering in the image is due to atmospheric turbulence. To keep the planet centered at very high magnification, an equatorial mount was used with accurate polar alignment.

Saturn - sounds from space

Saturn On the 25 August 1981, the probe Voyager 2 approached the Saturn system. The probe is carrying different detectors : magnetometers, plasma detectors, low-energy charged particles detectors, cosmic rays detectors, radiowaves receivers. Recordings were made. Interractions of the solar wind with planet's magnetosphere, magnetosphere itself, electromagnetic fields, charged particles emissions, charged particle interactions of the planet, its moons, and the solar wind. All this electromagnetic phenomenons can be transformed into electric signals, which can in turn be amplified and used to excite the membrane of a loud speaker ; thus making audible to the human ear the rustling of the cosmos. All these sounds were recorded while Voyager 2 was passing near Saturn, and assembled without manipulation. Classic Game Room HD - SEGA SATURN console review

Classic Game Room HD reviews the Sega Saturn video game console! Released in 1995 to the US market, this 1996 vintage Sega Saturn shows the pure solid construction and beauty of this underrated and nearly forgotten game console. Sega purists know about the Saturn of course, as well as the Master System, Dreamcast and Sega Genesis. But what about everyone else? This is the game system that has Panzer Dragoon and Darius Gaiden and Radiant Silvergun! The Sega Saturn has awesome controllers and plays games from Japan with a 4 in 1 converter and memory card. The Saturn has Virtua Fighter 2 and Daytona USA! What happened to make the Saturn die off so soon when so much potential was left untapped. The Saturn is remembered by many as a SHMUP video game system with awesome 2D rendering and gameplay, perhaps that is its lasting shining legacy. Watch the Classic Game Room hardware review of the Sega Saturn game system with HD footage of the console in high definition. Play import shooters on the Sega Saturn with ease and all of the awesome Western releases, all being reviewed by CGRHD.

The First 1000 Days: Cassini Explores The Saturn System

Google Tech Talks May 23, 2007 ABSTRACT A glistening spaceship, with seven lonely years and billions of miles behind it, glides into orbit around a ringed, softly-hued planet. A flying-saucer shaped machine descends through a hazy atmosphere and lands on the surface of an alien moon, ten times farther from the Sun than the Earth. Fantastic though they seem, these visions are not a dream. For seven years, the Cassini spacecraft and its Huygens probe traveled invisible interplanetary roads to the place we call Saturn. Their successful entry into orbit a thousand days ago, the mythic landing of Huygens on the cold, dark equatorial plains of Titan, and Cassini's subsequent explorations of the...

Classic Game Room - SEGA SATURN 3D CONTROL PAD review

Classic Game Room reviews the SEGA SATURN 3D CONTROL PAD which comes with the Nights into Dreams package. The 3D Control Pad for Sega Saturn has both a d-pad and analog stick (as well as a switch to switch between the two). This precursor to the Sega Dreamcast controller has triggers and 6 buttons and feels nearly identical to the Dreamcast controller which was released a few years after. While all Saturn games (tested by CGR) work with the controller and d-pad, not all use the analog stick and triggers. Some games like Nights into Dreams do and work really well. The 3D Control Pad makes for a great fighting game controller with its rounded edges, excellent d pad and comfortable buttons as seen in this Sega Saturn 3D control pad controller video game review.
