Les Trois Accords, Saskatchewan
This is probably one of the best songs in the world. The fact that they are ninjas is just an added bonus. And my god, their facial expressions while they are breaking the wood/glass are just priceless. You have to hand it to them Canadians, they sure know what they are doing
Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan with a population of around 200000 people and a devotion to ecology that has resulted in a system of over 100 parks. The place where people like to hang out and mingle is the block-long Scarth Street Pedestrian Mall. Plenty of shops and restaurants bring crowds to this charming and well-landscaped neighborhood, close to the headquarters of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
Established as a city in 1906, Saskatoon is Saskatchewan's largest city. Known today as "The City of the Bridges," much of the city's appeal comes from the river running through it, capped with a network of trails, promenades and parks. A busy hub of commerce and industry, and home to many high tech and mining companies, Saskatoon is a cultural oasis with professional and amateur theatre groups and art galleries, and where history and agricultural bounty are celebrated through festivals and public displays.

Longing for Saskatchewan
We could see the Saskatchewan provincial border sign from miles away on the flat, open prairie and when we finally reached it we had to get out and get a picture beside it (standing on top of our Chrysler 'Tripp'er' van of course!). It was an auspicious start to a journey through the province that surprised us the most on our entire trip across the country. Far more than just a big, boring patch of farmland Saskatchewan is full of wonderful surprises. Who would have thought that the province boasts gorgeous scenery (other than prairie), fantastic people and dynamic culture, not to mention great food, vibrant cities and an energized youth. There is so much there to do and enjoy that you will no doubt be as happily surprised as we were. We spent a few days in Saskatoon racing cars, eating gourmet Italian pizza and hanging out with a dreadlocked surfer dude and his acro-yoga instructor girlfriend, we played cowboy and rounded up cattle by horseback on the historic Resoor's Ranch in the stunning foothills in the south, and we sat still on the flatlands listening to the wheat whisper it's secrets to us in the warm evening breeze. Saskatchewan is a ton of fun and an understated jewel in our great country. Dinosaurs used to roam the province before the First Nations tribes hunted buffalo and the settlers then tilled the earth. You can see remnants of all of these in the fine museums around the province. Then, after them came the modern era of gourmet meals, boutique hotels and ...

The Arrogant Worms - The Last Saskatchewan Pirate
The Arrogant Worms - The Last Saskatchewan Pirate 1st track from the "Self-Titled" album This IS The Arrogant Worms, NOT Captain Tractor, enjoy ! :) Oh, and this is the original version, Arrogant Worms wrote it and Captain Tractor covered it.. this was from 1992, while Captain Tractor released it on there 1995 album "East 0f Edson". Infact if you read the liner notes inside of "East of Edson" it explains how they came to cover it. Explaining how they saw The Arrogant Worms at a festival they also played on, Captain Tractor said they wantted to cover one song by the band, and stated this one was the one "they were least sick of hearing", and went on to cover it and get a (rightful) hit with it. www.youtube.com

Extreme Diving - Coteau Creek, Saskatchewan
Diving below the Coteau Creek hydroelectric generating station on the South Saskatchewan River (September 2011). The participants in this video have specialized equipment, training and experience... if you are lacking either, please do not attempt this dive!! The dive plan is simple: In the raging water downstream from the dam, pull yourself as far across the river as possible. Once in the center (or when the current rips you from the riverbed), let go. Like an aqueous skydive, the current will send you flying downstream at a tremendous rate of speed. Several hundred yards downstream, the river bed opens into a 30 foot deep pit. Strong and erratic currents buffet the bottom of the pit, scouring the clay and pebble structure. Large lake trout, steel head, walleye and burbot are frequently seen at all stages of this dive. To end the dive, swim from the pit towards shore... and hope the current does not sweep you into the vast lake beyond...Not a dive for the faint of heart!

The 'New' Saskatchewan Film/TV/Digital Tax Credit & Why It Doesn't Work
www.FilmTVSask.com On Friday, May 4th, our Government announced a new incentive program for the Saskatchewan film and digital media industry. Rather than a refundable program--which is the industry standard— and what we in Saskatchewan proposed—this new incentive, offered by the provincial government, is a non-refundable tax program—which quite frankly doesn't work. Here's an example using a film made entirely in Saskatchewan— Lets say the total budget is 7 million dollars and $5 million of that is spent right here in our province. Under the new Government program, for a company owned and operated solely in Saskatchewan, the average benefit would be 34 percent. In our example, that would be $1.7 million dollars in tax credits. BUT, at the small business tax rate, a company would have to make a profit of $85 million in order to get that credit. Can anyone name any small business in any Saskatchewan industry that makes that kind of profit? It's a program without a solid business model. Let's do good business together. That way we all benefit. Having a non-refundable tax credit program is like having a car without a motor— We need your help to set the record straight. So share this any way you can—on twitter, on Facebook. Tell your friends, tell your neighbours and contact your MLA. And thank you, for all of your help.

Meteor Lights Up Saskatchewan, Calgary Skies - CTV News - Feb. 21, 2012
www.sheilaaliens.net "It was an incredible sight for anyone lucky enough to catch a fleeting glimpse Tuesday night of a very bright light that streaked across the sky above Alberta and Saskatchewan. Witnesses went on Twitter to report a multi-hued flash between Lloydminster and Saskatoon that lasted just seconds. One observer in Calgary who had a camera pointed skyward caught the flash northeast of the city and posted it on YouTube. A motorist driving just north of Saskatoon near the community of Martensville described seeing a ball of fire suddenly light up the sky. Other people reported hearing booming noises in the North Battleford region in western Saskatchewan." Read more www.ctv.ca

Hunting cabin saskatchewan 33.wmv
Hunting cabin in Saskatchewan. Laqrry Rizzo, my friend down the back alley here in Mossbank, is selling his place. Yes it is just an old little house with 2 bedrooms, but it's on a great double lot on the edge of town with no neighbours on three sides. A big old garage with a wood stove is perfect for hanging your fresh killed deer or moose. So many thousands of American hunters come to Southern Saskatchewan every year to hunt for duck, geese, pheasant, deer, moose, coyote, antelope, you name it. Now one of them can have his own home away from home. It's a little rough but everything works. All ya gotta do is hook up the electricity (the pole is right on the property) for 350. bucks, and the gas line must be tested (100 bucks) thats it. There's a new furnace and hot water tank. Chop some fire wood and yer good to go! One hunting cabin, two small bedrooms could sleep 4 or 5 guys. The old Hotel down the street serves cold beer, the cafe sells steak and burgers with fries, and the general store covers all the rest. You have 450 people here, a gas bar, medical clinic, ammunition, and everything else - all the basics, plus in winter, go watch hockey almost every night or try your hand at curling. Call Larry Rizzo to make your offer - 1-306-354-7670 Remember, he's looking for 6000. Canadian bucks. OBO - or send me an email, i can pass it on but be sure to include yer phone numbers. zen@zenwaiter.com
