Last Call Chief Sam Butler
Last call at the funeral for Chief Sam Butler of the Evans Crossroad Volunteer Fire Department in Robeson County. Chief Butler died in the Line of Duty on January 8th 2012 while responding to a call of need. Sam was also the President of the Robeson County Fireman's Association and a member of both the Robeson County Honor Guard and Robeson County Search and Rescue Team. Sam was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Chief Butler, you will be greatly missed but NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!

I do not own the copyright to this recording. This video is for historical and educational purposes There is no information on Sam Butler as far as where he came from or where he died. In the fall of 1926 he cut several sides for Paramount in Chicago under the name of "Bo Weavil Jackson". At the same time he was also recording for Vocalion under his real name. At first, blues experts thought that they were two different artists. The fact was later nailed down that they were one and the same. Two of his Vocalion issues out of six were never released. One was "You Can't Keep No Brown", that he also recorded for Paramount, that released all six of he songs that he waxed for them. 1926 was the banner year for Butler. He disappeared from the blues scene just as quickly as he came into it. But, he left behind some highly collectible recordings. I then spke to a real Policeman and he checked my signs and agreed with me that they were all ok. He then went to see Sam Butler head of PR for the cult and informed him that my signs were NOT THREATENING, and i was to put my car back. I did and we got on with the protest. WIN, WIN, WIN.

The Old Stone House Butler County Pennsylvania, Documentary
A mini documentary on one of Butler County's historic treasures, The Old Stone House, located near Slippery Rock Pennsylvania. The Old Stone House is located in Butler County near Slippery Rock Pennsylvania. It acted as a pivotal stop for those travel by wagon from Pittsburgh to Erie Pennsylvania in the 1800's. It later played roles in the American Civil War, and the story of Sam Mohawk, who would be charged with murder and be the first and only to face the gallows in Butler County. The Old Stone House later became a farm house before falling into disrepair. In the 1960's, the building was reconstructed using the original building's materials by architect Charles Stotz. It was later purchased by Slippery Rock University. Today, The Old Stone House is one of Butler County's greatest historic treasures.
