Dalida: Salma Ya Salama - with pictures from Tunisia
Beautiful country influenced by many cultures (including the French one) but never forgotten its special Arabian taste. You can see the main touristic attractions - Tunis, Karthago, Sidi-Bou-Said (lovely little town nearby Karthago where popular movies "Angelique" was filmed), Sousse and many famous places in the desert Sahara. Dalida was born in Egypt, her precedents were Italian. After moving to France she became a true star admired not only for exceptional beauty but first for powerful and touching performance of French chanson. She had never forgotten her beloved native Arabian country (herself spoke perfectly Arabic) and some of her songs are dedicated to her origin as Salma Ya Salama. Her unexpected death has been nor explained till nowadays.
