Biała Śmierć - jeden z najznamienitszych kamperów II wojny światowej... a właściwie to jeden z najlepszych w ogóle. Postrach Rusków, którzy zechcieli w swej głupocie napaść na Finlandię. Podczas wojny zimowej 1939--40 wstąpił do fińskiej armii jako snajper, by odeprzeć Armię Czerwoną. W czasie tej krótkiej wojny zdobył 505 fragów na czerwonych. Nie wspominając o tym, że ustrzelił ich w temperaturze wahającej się od -20 a -40°C. Ty to nawet byś nie mógł zgiąć palca by strzelić, a co dopiero dobrze wycelować w Ruska. Używał fińskiego wariantu karabinu Mosin z otwartymi przyrządami celowniczymi. Tak, tak, żadne tam lunetki z dziesięciokrotnym powiększeniem, to dobre dla ciot. Prawdziwy twardziel umie ustrzelić z 400 metrów faceta, celując z użyciem muszki i szczerbinki. To, że nie używał lunety uzasadniał również tym, że w przypadku używania karabinu w nią wyposażonego, strzelec musi podnieść wyżej głowę, przez co może zostać łatwiej wykryty. Inni by się ukryli w krzakach i celowali z lunetki, ale nie Simo, on nie szedł na łatwiznę.
