London, 5 March 2012 First Light dedicated to getting young people to make films and this event is the annual award ceremony to celebrate last year's productions. It's great for the kids to get to walk the red carpet and hob nob with the celebs and it's a well-deserved reward for all the hard team work that went towards the productions. First Light is at the BFI in London's South Bank Arts Complex this year. Sean O'Sullivan returns as our presenter for the event. Silent Scream was produced by Integrate Bristol. The fictional trailer for a short story collaboration between myself and another, featuring Carey Mulligan and Rupert Friend as the main characters. Clips are from Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Sittaford Mystery, and Spring of Life The music is Always Watching Over You, by Paul Collier. The storyline is pretty easy to follow, Carey plays a young Jewish girl living in Germany during WWII, eventually, the Gestapo come for her family, but as they are being taken from their home, one of the SS-Men (Rupert Friend) feels a pang of mercy for her, and takes her to the Headquarters to interrogate her instead of sending her right to the camps. The two discuss for a moment, and for that moment, the usually cold Officer feels, not as if he's talking to an enemy, but a regular person, she has an effect on him that no other has ever had, and he is so taken with her that he covers for her in order to keep her, as well as his job safe. For a while he keeps her a secret, until one day, he no longer can, he becomes obsessed. He invites her to stay with him at his house, offering her protection from the Reich, on one condition. That she marry him. He gets rid of her Jewish papers, and forges new ones for her, giving her a whole new life.
