Because sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who actually prefers John Rolfe to John Smith. I mean don't get me wrong, I liked John Smith, I really did. I don't mean to belittle his relationship with Pocahontas in the original, and I know everyone likes to think that they're "meant to be", and all, but really, how many people can claim to have only been with one person in their lives? They taught each other a lot about accepting people and views different from their own, and, being so similar in their search for satisfaction, I do believe they had a deep connection. But when it came down to it, they did not really know each other that well, and they were not suited to each other. Not in a long-term way. They were so similar in their need to follow the path "calling" them, and those paths were not the same. John Smith, really, was destined to be alone, he wanted to conquer the world, he didn't have time to "give" half of himself and his time to her. And Pocahontas didn't need someone to pull her in a different direction, she needed someone who would stand beside her in the path she was searching for. And that was what John Rolfe was. He might not have been as dashing and adventurous as John Smith, in other words, he was not as much like her. But he DID care for her, he respected her need to protect her people and was even willing to stand aside for the sake of her happiness if she chose John Smith. THAT is what she needed; someone who would never stand in the way of her ...

Paracanoeing with David Rolfe
This video with para-canoeist David Rolfe was produced for the ICF (International Canoe Federation). In February we met David Rolfe in Australia. David is a 2000 Paralympic Games bronze medallist in swimming but it was canoeing that was his passion and a decade on from his triumph at the Sydney Games, Rolfe competed in the two Paracanoe events at the 2010 Oceania Open. He is now busy spreading the word about the application of Paracanoe to the Paralympic calendar in the 2016 Rio Games. "The K1 200 race itself as a race is still very new in Australia and has only been around for three months," he enthused, and his plan is "for me to be a messenger, to let the younger people with a disability know that it's there. Kayaking is such a fun and wonderful sport." We will see him in Poznan too for the Paracanoeing events at the 2010 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championship in August. I managed to have a quick Q&A with Cinemassacre's James Rolfe (The Angry Video- Game Nerd) and Mike Matei. This was at Digital Press Video Games in Clifton NJ on Dec 4, 2010. Note: There were tons of people and everything had to be done quick. It took 2 1/2 hours in freezing weather to get up to James and Mike, and was lucky to a have been able to pull this off with all the people behind us. I had a lot more questions to ask, but had to limit to a few quick ones. James and Mike were both awesome, and it was very cool to meet the man behind Cinemassacre. Shot on a Canon 7d

This is just what I've been working on this weekend... First I had Phil Collins version of this song, but YouTube wouldn't let me upload the video, so I changed it to Mariah Carey's and Westlife's version... So it looked better first, but I hope you like it anyway xD Storyline: (Maybe you understand without reading this) Esmeralda (Anne-Marie) and John Rolfe (Taran) are best friends, like a brother and a sister. They're always together, but then one day John meets Odette (Eilonwy) and suddenly Esmeralda is all alone. Then 15 years later, John sees Esmeralda dance he recognizes her as his child hood friend. After the dance he comes to her and introduces himself and asks her if she remembers him. She says that she does, and than she closes the tent. John understands that she is angry and he apologizes. She decides to give him a chance. So they spend alot of time together again and Esmeralda falls in love with John. And she thinks he feels the same thing. Then one day, she sees John talking to another woman, and after a while she sees it's Odette and she gets really angry, and hurt. John and Esmeralda have a fight and John tells her to not be so jelaous, then she asks him to leave... SPOILERS Frollo (just a random, old man) tries to kidnap, but John comes and rescues her. And then he tells her that he loves her too, and they live happily ever after... Until they're really old... ;)

Ah, finally it's here! This video is a collab between Kitak and I. She came up with this wonderful storyline ages ago (sorry hun) and entrusted me with it. So here's the result. And here's the storyline: John is a wealthy diplomat who's been to many exciting places around the world. When he returns home after several years away, he is driven in a carriage back to his house. On the way, he sees a beautiful girl walking down the street. He is intrigued, but soon loses her in the crowd, and forgets about the incident. Several nights later, John is at a ball held in his honour when he sees the same girl again among the guests. He approaches her and introduces himself, and she tells him that her name is Belle. They dance and chat, and a friendship begins to form. As time passes, they meet each other several times both at social events and in their own homes and soon they find themselves falling for each other. John is a noble man but not really able to put his feelings into action, so when Belle one day gets a little flirtatious, John is bemused. Introducing Jenny Rolfe, an international dressage horse trainer with a natural approach to communicating with horses. Horses need a leader just like wild horses in the herd, and Jenny uses the horses own language to become the herd leader to her 4 Iberion Stallions. Cracking Media teamed up with Jenny to produce a DVD that brings her techniques to all riders from weekend hackers to competition riders.
