Let's Play Skyrim Part 1: Introduction to this LP, the introduction scene of the game and creating the character I'll be roleplaying: Yngvarr is an average chap. Not a hero by any means, unless picking flowers or buying and selling goods makes a man heroic. He is a Breton goods peddler and a recreational alchemist who, before arriving in Skyrim, isn't aware of all the powers hidden within him. His father was a Nord caravan guard and mother is a Breton healer. Yngvarr was born in Elinhir, a town in Hammerfell, but he never really had a place he or his family called home, as he became a travelling merchant like his parents were. Skyrim Roleplay - Part 4 - Riverwood Trader
Yngvarr visits Riverwood Trader, and learns that the place has been robbed and a golden claw was stolen by bandits who have a hideout in Bleak Falls Barrow up the mountain. Yngvarr isn't comfortable going after thieves on his own just yet, so he decides to stay in Riverwood for a while. Yngvarr meets Gerdur, the owner of the mill and learns there might be some work for him at the mill and he should talk to Hod about it. Yngvarr also meets Faendal, dishonest dark elf, who asks Yngvarr to do something for him. Yngvarr rests before leaving to Whiterun with Sven. They run to a wolf on the road, but otherwise the road is not as dangerous as Yngvarr feared. He and Sven have a chance to enjoy the fresh air and lovely scenery, forgetting for a moment that they have an urgent message to deliver to the Jarl about the dragon and what happened in Helgen. Yngvarr sees a flying mammoth, perhaps out of sleep deprivation, even that they rested a bit inside. Yngvarr and Lydia fight more bandits up in which seems to be a lunar forge. Yngvarr finds a lunar sword and quickly reads a book that tells about the lunar forges and lunar weapons. Yngvarr and Lydia make their way back to Whiterun, through the wilderness. Yngvarr trades outside the city with the Khajit trader Ri'saad. Yngvarr, Lydia and Orthorn face The Caller, the leader and the most powerful of the mages in the keep. The Caller offers them a change to turn away and leave the keep, but Yngvarr came to the keep to get the stolen books and he's not going to leave without them. -------- Editor's note: I think the game was too kind autosaving just before ritual chamber (end of the last video), basically telling (spoiling) me that the hardest fight is coming up, so I prepared. Without that autosave, not sure if I'd walked into the chamber with shield on, ward at hand and mentally ready for a hard fight.
