Songwriter Jerry Ragovoy remembers his first meeting with Janis Joplin (American Music Masters 2009)
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was saddened to hear the news about the death of Jerry Ragovoy. Jerry, who's hits included "Time is On My Side," "Cry Baby," and "Piece of My Heart," was one of the greatest rock and soul songwriters and producers. This interview took place at the Rock Hall's American Music Masters tribute to Janis Joplin in 2009. Our sympathies to his wife Beverly and his family, and our gratitude to Jerry for his work and the time he generously gave to the Museum.
