Mika Ahola RIP
Mika Ahola (13 December 1974 -- 15 January 2012) was a Finnish enduro rider and a five-time world champion. He was also a seven-time winner of the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) World Trophy with Team Finland, and was the fastest overall in the competition in 1999, 2001 and 2002. Ahola debuted in the World Enduro Championship in a Husqvarna in 1993, and became a regular title contender after joining the TM factory team in 1997. In 2001, he finished runner-up for the third time, after losing the 500 cc world title to Anders Eriksson by a single point. Ahola took three more wins than Eriksson, but a retirement in the second round in Slovakia proved costly for his title chase. After another second placing in 2002 and a third in 2003, he briefly moved to Husqvarna until signing for Honda for the 2006 season, which saw him finish second to KTM's Samuli Aro in the E2 class. In 2007, Ahola took seven wins and finished on the podium in all but one event, beating compatriot Aro and Yamaha's Johnny Aubert to finally win the world championship. For the 2008 season, he moved to the E1 class and took his second world title ahead of KTM's Iván Cervantes. Ahola went on to win a fourth consecutive title in 2010. In 2011, he moved to the E3 class and became the first rider to win the world championship in all the three current categories. Marco Simoncelli killed in at Malaysian Moto GP. Italian motorcyclist Marco Simoncelli has been killed in a crash during today's Malaysian Moto GP. The Gresini Honda rider lost control of his bike on the second lap of the circuit in Sepang and appeared to be hit by Colin Edwards and then Valentino Rossi as he slid across the track. The 24-year-old's helmet came off in the collision and he was taken to the medical centre for treatment, but his injuries were too serious. A message on the MotoGP website read: "Marco Simoncelli succumbed to injuries sustained in Malaysia." The organisers halted the race immediately after the incident, and then cancelled it. On July 6th Flippy was put to sleep :( His health problems got the better of him. For the last few months we had been treating him for renal failure, which he handled well....However in his last day, Flippy was suffering from heart issues and could not move around much without tiring. We had blood work and an x-ray performed, which also showed a large mass in his tummy. It was time to let him go... Thanks for all of your supportive comments. Members of Flippy's family have been trying to read them (there are so many!). He will be missed when not starring in future videos here.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained. London Ambulance Service said it had been called to the flat at 1554 BST and sent two vehicles but the woman died. The troubled singer had a long battle with drink and drugs which overshadowed her recent musical career. She pulled out of a comeback tour last month. Last month, the north Londoner pulled out of the European tour after she was jeered at the first gig in Serbia for appearing too drunk to perform. For 90 minutes, she mumbled through parts of songs and at times left the stage - leaving her band to fill in. Winehouse had won widespread acclaim, aged 20, with her 2003 debut album, Frank. But it was 2006's Back to Black which brought her worldwide stardom, winning five Grammy Awards.
