The Platters - With This Ring
This is another performance filmed for my now legendary documentary, "The Strange World Of Northern Soul". In late 1959, Sonny Turner replaced Tony Williams as the lead singer of the original Platters. Chosen out of 100 singers who auditioned, Sonny at the young age of 19, toured the world with "The Platters" bringing their music to people of all nations. Sonny brought The Platters back to the pop charts in the 1960's with such hits as "I love You 1000 Times", "With this ring" and "Washed Ashore"; as well as re-recording major Platter hits like "Only You", "The Great Pretender" and "The Magic Touch." You can hear Sonny's voice in various movies such as "The Nutty Professor II" starring Eddie Murphy. "Hearts in Atlantis" starring Anthony Hopkins and "Prince of the City" starring Robert DeNiro. There are only three surviving members of The Platters still alive today that can be heard on the hundreds of recordings and hit records that made The Platters one of the most successful vocal groups of all time. They are Herb Reed who founded the group in 1953 and sang bass. Zola Taylor, the female vocalist and Sonny Turner. Sonny remained with The Platters from late 1959 until 1970 when he left to pursue a solo career. In 2005, Mr. Turner received The Lifetime Excellence in Entertainment Award in Las Vegas where he currently resides. How to Make an Origami Dollar Ring (Moneygami)
Explains how to make an Origami ring from a dollar bill. ***PLEASE NOTE: Making this model does NOT ruin or destroy the dollar in any way! It is simply being folded, there are NO tears or cuts being made in the dollar. You can always unfold it and straighten it out, or better yet give it to someone in ring form as a tip :-) I do recommend that you use a simple $1 bill because I think it fits the nicest. However, any other American bills will work, yet larger bill numbers for $10, $20, $50, or $100 usually get cut off from the top portion of the ring. I am aware that I have viewers from other countries who may not have American bills handy, so I quickly explain a way you can make this using regular printer paper. I give the dimensions: Length: 15.5 cm Width: 6 cm Also, HERE are the measurements for where you should make the folds on a piece of PAPER. ALL measurements are from the very LEFT side of the paper and indicate where to fold as instructed in the video. NOTE THAT THESE MEASUREMENTS MAY NOT FIT YOU OR WORK PERFECTLY** Please experiment with your paper, this is only to get a general idea. Kim Dotcom on the Ring!
Kim Dotcom, Kimi Raikkonen and Finn Batato on the Nürburgring Norschleife with three highly modified Mercedes Benz AMG CLK DTM supercars. A fun day on the most famous race track in the world. This video shows a full lap around the ring. It took 20 laps to get all the shots for this video. It's a homage to the Nurburgring, the CLK DTM and Kimi Raikkonen, one of the best drivers in the world. I DID NOT WIN against Kimi. I never could. We had to remove the air from his tires to keep up. And even then it was impossible :-) I used to play Forza and Need for Speed on Xbox Live. Those games inspired me to create a video that looks like the replay of a perfect lap on the Ring. I know it isn't perfect, but I tried. The production involved 30 cameras, 100+ crew, 2 helicopters, 2 camera cars and one fixed wing aircraft. The song "Take me away" was produced by Kim Dotcom and Printz Board. PS The final edit was seized by the FBI during the Megaupload raid. It will be uploaded as soon as it returns (if ever). The current version has a few problems and no color correction. Sorry. Thank you Kimi Raikkonen.

Edit: Found out that these bloopers were put together for the LOTR wrap party to show the cast. There were plans to put them on the extended DVDs but they obviously didn't.
