It's been a while since I've done a solo video, and a lot of you have been asking for some classic rock and stuff. I thought I'd try to cover a lot of your requests in a compilation video of my 25 best guitar riffs (in no particular order!). I wanna note a couple of things for anyone who's reading this.. So this is my list of the 25 best guitar riffs. Don't hesitate to let me know what I may have missed. By best, I don't mean most difficult or anything like that; I mean the 25 most recognizable guitar licks that I could think of. Everything is recorded live, and I'm not playing over any of the original tracks. I use backing tracks that I've found in various places on the Internet. I do all of the guitar playing you hear, even if you don't see the video. Oh, except for the second guitar in The Trooper, and the rhythm guitar in Thunderstruck. Those came with the backing tracks :) The sound is recorded into Garageband, the video is recorded into iMovie, and then I sync them later. So, as usual, I apologize for anything that's slightly out of sync. Alright well you all know what to do.. If you like what you see, please show your friends. That'd mean a lot to me. Hey, I'm sure many of you have heard of David Sprunger. He is an online blues piano teacher and owns his own site with some great blues riffs on it. I picked the top eleven guitar riffs largely based on what guitar backing tracks I can find on the internet and as well the music that I'm familiar with. I started playing guitar in the era of Classic Rock and back in those days, a lot of these songs could be considered 'heavy metal', although nowadays I don't know what's what with so much different types. (I may not call Sweet Child o' Mine heavy metal either, but I threw it in at the end as an outro while the credits roll.) I am playing an Ibanez RG350DX through a Pod GX device which records straight to computer. The guitar track is then overlaid to the backing track and the mixdown is dubbed into the video. Yes, I made this video in a hotel room -- I had to go for a couple of weeks of business in Asia and I took my guitar to do this in my spare time.
