Născută în Bucureşti, la 8 martie 1924, Alma Redlinger a absolvit Academia liberă de pictură din Bucureşti (1940--1944), unde la avut ca profesor pe MH Maxy. Despre arta sa, Alma Redlinger afirmă: „Taina picturii o descopăr în natură, în realitatea din jur. Pe măsură ce le percep, lucrurile-s ale mele [Lucian Blaga] şi încerc să le redau aşa încât cei care văd să fie convinşi de adevărul celor pictate, chiar dacă fiecare vede în tablourile mele altceva".
