On September 8th, Traveling at an average speed of nearly 72mph in a Vermont SportsCar prepared, BFGoodrich Tires-shod 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car, four-time Rally America National Champion Travis Pastrana made sure the project name, Red Bull Speed Chasers, lived up to its name. He reached the summit faster than anyone else in history by clocking an officially timed run of 6 minutes 20.47 seconds, besting the previous record by more than twenty seconds. This lost gem was never shown to the public & was used for promotional use only among record executives! It hasn't been seen in over 55 years!! What's on it? well, we get to see lots of great color footage of Hollywood landmarks first up. Mel plays a record dealer who is desperately trying to sell anyone a record at the corner of Sunset & Vine streets in Hollywood, California. While pestering several people, (including Yogi Yorgeson!!), Billy May approaches playing a regular guy walking down the street, Mel takes him into his record store, (Wallichs Music City) & proceeds to pitch everything in the store to him. In the end Billy won't pay the 85 cents for a record & Mel decides to show him exactly how records are made! They go over to the Capitol Records recording studios on Melrose Avenue & meet with Alan Livingston who takes them on a tour, here is where they run into several famous folks while getting into a little bit of mischief along the way! We get to see rare footage of Dean Martin in the studio actually recording one of his hit records! they run into Les Paul and Mary Ford, a vocal group, a country & western singer (Merle Travis?), and even Bozo the clown!

60 cm tall: World's shortest man record broken in Philippines
A poor Filipino blacksmith's son, Junrey Balawing, was declared the world's shortest man on Sunday on his 18th birthday. Guinness World Records representative said he measured 23.5 inches (60 centimetres). Balawing broke the record of Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal, who is 26.4 inches (67 centimetres) tall. Guinness World Records 2011 Shortest Man announced
At 27.46 inches tall, 24 year old Edward Niño Hernandez from Bogota has today been confirmed as the World's Shortest Man (Monday 6 September). Guinness World Records awarded the record after months of searching for a new title holder following the sudden death of He Ping Ping in March this year who had previously held the record for more than 3 years. Hernandez is 1.5 inches shorter than Ping Ping and weighs just 10 kilos (22 pounds). However, he doesn't know why he's so small because Doctors have never given him a diagnosis. According to his mother, he hasn't grown since he was 2 years old. In his daily life, Eduardo helps out with the family's pyjama-making business, loves to dance the popular Latin American 'reggaeton' and dreams of seeing the world. Now, the diminutive Colombian takes his place in the chronicles of history with one of the highest profile record titles. He will be honoured with pride of place in the 2011 edition of the Guinness World Records book, published next week (16th September). However, it may turn out to be one of the shortest-held records ever. The Colombian's reign could end in just five weeks when competitor for the title, Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal, turns 18. Named in the new book as the World's Smallest Teen, Magar is 2 inches smaller than Hernandez (at 25.8 inches tall) but will not be recognised by Guinness World Records in the Shortest Man category until he comes of age on 14th October.
