This is a video of a 45 I have of Ray Stevens' The Streak. I think this is the original publication, but I'm not sure. Either way, it was made by Barnaby Records and distributed by Janus Records. This record is from '74. The B-Side does not match what Wikipedia says it should be--It's You've Got the Music Inside and Wikipedia says it should be Smith and Jones--but I think it still could be an original since it's from '74. (UPDATE: For those who haven't checked or read the comment I posted on Sept. 29 '11, the page on Wikipedia now lists "You've Got the Music Inside" as the B-side to this record) It is played on my Zenith Console (model # unknown) with a replacement (but still BSR) changer. Please enjoy the video! Also, I had no idea this video would be so popular! Thanks for all of the views!

With over 25 million albums and over 4 million videos sold throughout his illustrious career, the 11 time Grammy nominee has most recently released a 22 song CD/DVD package, "We the People", available on Ray's official website. www.RayStevens.com From his comedy hit, "The Streak" to the socially aware "Mr. Businessman" to his Grammy award winning pop standard "Everything is Beautiful," Stevens continues to showcase his observant and witty songwriting. After recording hits including "Harry The Hairy Ape" and "Santa Claus Is Watching You," Ray also focused on producing other artists. Working at Monument Records during that period, Ray produced a newcomer, Dolly Parton. In 1970, Ray joined Barnaby Records, a label owned by Andy Williams. After performing on Williams' television variety show, he became Barnaby's first contemporary artist. That summer, Ray had the opportunity to host as the summer replacement for the Andy Williams Show on NBC. He needed a hit song for the show and the end result of three days spent in his basement song writing was "Everything Is Beautiful," which became Ray's first #1 hit on the pop charts and won him his first Grammy for Male Vocalist of the Year.
