Go Karts on Railroad Tracks

Yesterday two friends of East Jesus stopped by to visit. As they pulled up, I noticed they had some kind of strange device attached to the top of their car. It turned out to be what they called a Rail Rider, basically a self-built go kart specially designed to run on railroad tracks. I've seen a few of these vehicles online, but they were all pedal powered. This one was powered by a Honda motor, and boasted speeds of up to 30 mph. Greg and Troy were nice enough to take me along on their adventure the next day. While we didn't get to go as high up into the mountains as we'd hoped (no train tunnels -- dang!), it still made for an excellent adventure, and I can't thank them enough for helping me knock one more item off my bucket list. Upper Cut Productions was commissioned by BAM Nuttall and Network Rail to film a rail bridge reconstruction project in Reading, during the Christmas period of 2011. 3 weather-proofed time lapse cameras were installed in various locations to capture the progress of the new bridge construction - they have taken nearly 1/4million photographs over the last 6 months. Following the short video of the bridge move between 24.12.11 and 28.12.11, this video reveals the full project from the bridge construction to the site clearance after New Year. This video is best watched at 720p and 'large screen' (but not full screen) for maximum quality.

There were several of the trains that weren't seen in his video that can be seen here over a year later. It started life as an Ironworks in 1840 but as the times changed it was uneconomical to keep open and was closed in 1921. It was then used as a brickworks and for coal mining used all the way up to 1988 when the last brick was produced. The Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group now run here stripping the trains down to renovate or to repair other trains. In 2012 there will be Steam Open Days at Dunaskin where everyone will get the chance to ride on various steam trains. Whats up guys another live commentary for you all today using the AN-94. This is a very solid weapon in my opinion and I love the three round bursts. I am really gonna try and level this weapon up enough to get the full feel but at first using this weapon its hard to get used to as its very different than other weapons within the same class. Saturday morning movements through Mt Lofty Railway Station on the 28th April 2012. Mount Lofty railway station is a railway station in South Australia, on the former Adelaide-Bridgewater railway line, located in the Adelaide Hills suburb of Stirling. The station opened in 1883 and it is located 31.0 km (19m41c) by rail from the Adelaide Railway Station. It is the highest railway station between Adelaide and Melbourne. Two platforms were provided. The north or 'Down' platform is 125.0 metres long and the south or 'Up' platform is 103.6 metres long. Both platforms are still in place, although no longer in use. The wooden steps leading down to the station building is still in place, but has been fenced off and is very fragile. The station signs on both platforms, which were mainly used at stations in the hills and near the beach (eg Belair and Semaphore respectively) from early in the 1900s to the 1980s, are also still in place. Until 1987, Adelaide suburban trains serviced the station and went further east to Bridgewater. The trains were withdrawn in that year because of high cost of operating the trains and low passenger numbers. All railway stations beyond Belair, including Mount Lofty railway station were closed to suburban trains, and most of the other stations have since been demolished . In 1995 the main railway line from Adelaide to Melbourne was converted from Broad Gauge (1600mm) to Standard Gauge (1435mm), thus preventing any restoration of local trains to Mount ...
