A string of attacks on Hispanic residents in New York has prompted fears of a new wave of racial hatred. The city that has historically been "a melting pot for immigrants" seems to be reaching boiling point in terms of radical sentiments. The United States has always been a country of immigrants seeking a better life but they are not always welcome. The western state of Arizona recently passed a tough law targeting undocumented Mexican immigrants. Despite a backlash, there are now more signs that this sentiment has spread across the country far from the Mexican border -- in one area of New York City there has been a string of a dozen attacks on Hispanic residents in recent months.

Today I was able to pull the engine and transmission out of the car so the next phase of modifications could be made. First, because the engine is mounted so low in the vehicle to fit under the stock hood...the oil pan is going to need fairly serious modification to give a practical amount of ground clearance. Next, I wanted to turn the engine upside down to dump the dog food that a rat had stashed in the intake manifold galley and get ready for the cam swap which will be in an upcoming video. Schurter out shoots Stander in PMB World Cup Pietermaritzburg - The widely anticipated Elite Men's cross country race of the 2012 RockyRoads UCI MTB World Cup Pietermaritzburg delivered all the action, drama and excitement as expected with world number two Nino Schurter (Scott-Swisspower MTB Racing Team) of Switzerland edging out local hero Burry Stander (Specialized Racing) to claim the spoils in the season opener at Cascades MTB park. Just as he did in 2011 Schurter showed his superior technical abilities through the notorious rock garden to break the shackles which had seen he and Stander circulate wheel to wheel around the course for the first four and a half laps of the six lap encounter. A last minute drop of rain couldn't even put a dampener on the electric on-course proceedings as Schurter put in a surge of speed through the top section of the second last lap which gave him a clear run into the technical section and that slight advantage was all it took for the 2011 victor. Stander, having finished third in 2009 and eleventh in 2011, was focused solely on claiming this year's title and the South Coast rider gave it his all as he looked to achieve his remarkably high goals. A strong start after the chaos of the firswt corner saw him into third place and he, Schurter and Manuel Fumic of Germany then worked together to haul in the reigning world champion, Jaroslav Kulhavy (Specialized Racing), who had flown out the blocks. MR2 Racing Series: Donington Park 19/05/12 - Neil Stratton On-board
We were supporting the Superstars International Series this weekend at Donington, which is probably my favourite circuit now. I had a few issues with brakes (or lack of) in qualifying caused by penny pinching - they were simply past their best, so these were swapped for race 1 and the difference was incredible. I qualified 8th, and despite my best efforts to loose control in the Old Hairpin on lap 1 finished 8th after a great battle with Steve Hennessy and Neal Hurran. Race 2 was a fairly quiet affair and I finished 5th.

UKEC's Projek Amanat Negara (PAN) held on 29 January 2012 featured the first public debate between UMNO & BN Youth Chief, YB Khairy Jamaluddin, and PKR Director of Strategies, Rafizi Ramli. Taking on a Presidential-style format, the session "Public Policy: Vision 2020 - Is Malaysia Moving Towards the Right Direction?" was civil and diplomatic as the two renowned as passionate voices for their party's causes squared off. 2012 AMA 250 SUPERCROSS RD 16 SALT LAKE CITY HD
The Lites Coast West headed up to Salt Lake City on Saturday and right from the get go riders were down everywhere. Now I don't know if it was the air up there but practice had some serious carnage in it. Cole Seely was removed from the track after going down hard and brought to a local hospital to get checked out where they found out he ruptured his kidney and has lacerated his liver. Not even 30 minutes later his fellow TLD Teammate Travis Baker followed him off the track on the mule and to the hospital after being Knocked Out and was thought to have a possible broken sternum. The Asterisk Mobile Medical Mule was so busy it looked like it was about to run out of fuel! They did a amazing job!! Then there is still a Championship to be decided. Will it end here or it will go down to Vegas. After the heated battle we saw last week there maybe some payback to be settled out on the track. Dean Wilson struggled all day after separating his shoulder yet again in practice. But he toughed it out to line up at the gate for the Heat Races. The track was literally garbing riders and slamming them to the ground in practice until Dirt Wurx stepped in and fixed the rhythm lane that caused all the issues. The main event had great racing with one really hard crash. It started to look a little shaky for a while but it quickly heated up as Tomac started to stalk Wilson. Then it happened.
