We shot this video entirely on our production companies camera, the Red Epic. You can find out more about our production company that Jake, Katie, and I started in the link right below! mysterybox.us We shot the pumpkins smashing with the Red Epic camera at 300 frames per second. Then in a couple of the shots I put the slow motion clips into Twixtor, a program that adds frames to make it even slow, and I made those shots run at 1000fps, by adding frames in between the other frames. As far as the lighting goes, we used an Arri kit. We filmed the smashing of the pumpkins right outside my friends ...

Rotting pumpkin
The candle was lit on Oct 16th and the time-lapse was finally stopped on December 12th. Over the course of those 58 days, GTimelapse captured one image per hour using a Canon PowerShot G2 tethered to an old Windows 98 computer. The computer and camera were powered through a battery back-up system and ran continuously for the entire time. The only anomaly was when one of the lights used to illuminate the scene burned out. The images were combined into a video using Adobe After Effects.

I was young and just f-ing around with a crappy camera and movie editing program I found online... trying to make something out of nothing. Never in a million years thought this would become the version of the song that EVERYBODY finds on youtube haha... If I had known, I miiiight have tried a little harder with it. -----------------Original Description-------------------- Even I don't know. Don't ask questions, just take acid and watch. "Eye" is a song by the band The Smashing Pumpkins, which featured on the soundtrack of the David Lynch film Lost Highway. Along with the song "The End Is the Beginning Is the End" from Batman & Robin and "Christmastime" from A Very Special Christmas 3, "Eye" represented a period of work on compilations done by the Pumpkins in between the release of the two albums Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and Adore. It also appeared on their greatest hits collection Rotten Apples. "Eye" is performed entirely by electronic instruments (apart from the vocals), indicating the direction the Pumpkins would take in their up-coming album Adore. The track "Tear" was also considered to be put on the Lost Highway soundtrack, however instead "Eye" was put on, and "Tear" appeared on Adore. "Eye" was released as a very limited promotional single, and reached number 8 on the US Modern Rock Tracks in 1997. This is not the official music video.
