Classic Game Room HD - Sony PSP review
Classic Game Room HD reviews the Sony PSP model PSP-3001, released in 2008. This PSP is the unit that CGR uses for all of the PSP reviews because it has an amazing audio and video output that allows gamers to play the PSP on televisions with component video for the best picture possible. The PSP itself has an amazing screen, sounds great through headphones (or stereo system) and is built with excellent controls and feels solid. The UMD format is the weak link for this (and other, older PSP models) unit because the UMD drive is an optical drive just waiting to have problems. Fortunately PSP owners can download most of their games from the Playstation Network these days, including a huge number of original PSone video games for PSP. Now that the PSP Go is released you may think that the PSP series 1000, 2000 and 3000 are obsolete but they are not! The older PSP models can still download the newest games and rock your journey with Playstation on the go goodness.

4 years ago I made a video called wii on psp www.engadget.com gamevideos.1up.com 6 months earlier from today I made this video: wii on ipod touch: www.engadget.com www.youtube.com Currently how this concepts works is Im running a wii emulator using a LEGALLY(my own) backed up game on the computer and transmitting the video and audio towards the psp. I can even map the buttons on the computer to reflect the psp's controls and now I can have a fully functional wii running! The program I use to run is called PSPdisp and you need CFW for it. Thanks

Classic Game Room reviews the Sony PSP Go handheld video game console that plays videogames downloaded from the Sony Network instead of UMD discs. The new model PSP Go is smaller than the older 1000-3000 models and doesn't use UMD discs (which prevents you from buying used games) or work with the PSP camera and games like Invizimals and Eyepet. PSP go has slick styling, nice buttons and an analog stick as well as good battery life and an excellent screen. Screen size is smaller than older model PSPs though.

Part of the Shin Megami Tensei series, Persona 3 is like Dark City meets dark anime, a trippy tale about the Lost Hour, Shadows and Evokers that bring out the Personas in teens fighting for the future or something... Persona 3 was originally released for the Playstation 2 PS2 in 2006 in Japan and 2007 in North America. This version on the PSP has a new female lead character (in addition to the regular male character) that has some additional plot elements. Fuse personas (aka Demons from the other SMT games) into more powerful personas which act as magic spells and weapons in turn based combat. Persona 3 is a JRPG (Japanese style role playing game) dripping with that unique Shin Megami Tensei style which masks its turn based, dungeon crawling heart. The EyePet UMD for PSP comes with a card that you place on a surface which works with the PSP camera to use augmented reality style technology to place the Eyepet on that surface. Play games with it, name it, even go fishing. But don't forget to feed your eyepet and give it exercise or else it will run away and spread lies about you on Facebook. Oh no! Vindictive little suckers... Playing with the eyepet gets old fast, but the technology used to make this unique game is very cool. Another cool game using a similar card and virtual environment style is Invizimals. This "spiritual" third installment in the Parasite Eve series has players taking control of Aya who takes control of soldiers by Overdiving into them and fighting giant monsters! While technically not part of the Parasite Eve series, fans of the series may dig this installment although, admittedly, the main protagonist is shallow and fairly uninteresting. The 3rd Birthday PSP gameplay is awesome and plays like a breeze with a single analog stick and the triggers. Upgrade weapons, Aya and your clothing as you play (and watch her clothes fall off) through the game and battle giant tentacle things and spawning monsters that explode when you kill them.
