Welcome to the YouTube channel for Steve's Airshow World. Here, you will see over 2,900 videos from airshows all over North America, with a heavy emphasis on airshows in the lower part of the Northeast United States (including PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NY, and RI). In addition, you will also see some spotting trips that I've taken over the years - again, within the confines of the mentioned locations. Please take the time to READ THE DESCRIPTION of the video, as it will tell you what you're looking at as well as a where and when as to location and date. Most of the older video will appear to be of lower quality, as they were uploaded that way. There are no plans to upload higher quality video, especially if it's a popular video.I've been asked many times if this is my job... I wish it was. I spend a lot of money each year to be able to attend all of these airshows as well as investing in equipment to get this video for you. I've always had a passion for aviation since I was a little kid and now that I play a bigger role in airshows, I have developed friendships with many of the big players in the airshow industry. Not only do I think of them as good friends but I also think of them as my second family. You will occasionally see videos that are over ten minutes in length. I've gotten a lot of people complaining about that, and I will only explain it here. In the past, I signed up and was approved for the Director program, which allowed uploads of videos longer than ten minutes. Once the ten minute rule was enacted, those who were able to upload longer videos retain the ability to do so, and I really appreciate YouTube for doing that. Please take the time to check out Steve's Airshow World. You will find jet team schedules, all of these videos (organized by airshow), airshow reports, aircraft spotting guides, and a complete store where you can purchase over two dozen different DVD titles featuring video I've shot over the years. You can also find a list of shows I have attended as well as shows I may or may not attend in the upcoming or current airshow season. There is also a Facebook Fan Page that you can become a fan of, and I will relay news and site updates on there from time to time.REGARDING COMMENTSI invite you to write comments on all of the videos, when applicable. However, please keep them relevant to the video. I WILL BE REMOVING ALL HATEFUL COMMENTS REGARDING THE ANNOUNCER(S)/NARRATOR(S). All negative comments regarding the announcers in the video are deemed as inappropriate and insulting to me, as I am very good friends with most of the announcers you hear in the videos. They are doing their jobs and if you ask me, they do a damn fine job of keeping the uninformed informed. There is also no need for pollution comments with regards to the jet vehicles as well as the "first view, first comment" comments, as they are not necessary. In addition, please read the descriptions of the videos. They will tell you where the video was shot, the date it was shot, and what you are seeing. I may even throw in some notes in the video's description that you may find interesting as well as describing any sort of unusual circumstances found in the video.REGARDING EQUIPMENTI have been asked numerous times what equipment I use. I have used various Sony Handycam video cameras for all of the video shot from March 2006 to the present. I have used a Hitachi 8mm video camera for all of the video shot between 1999 and 2005. For the scanners, I have used an Icom IC-R5 (2004-2008) and a Radio Shack Pro-97 (2009-). Just know that I use equipment that I believe is the best equipment money can buy and at a reasonable price. I won't tell you exactly what I use because it is a liability issue. I use a monopod or tripod for most of the ground stuff (jet team walkouts and returns) and not for the flying.VIDEO DISCLAIMERSteve's Airshow World holds the copyright to ALL of the video you see on this channel.
