Lights Poxleitner "Siberia" Vocal Range
Re-done version of my previous video on Light's vocal range on "Siberia". This version includes notes I left out and a bit shorter (I think, haven't actually checked) and looks cooler in my opinion :D I edited all the photos in this video, all of it's based off the "Everybody Breaks A Glass" single cover and toes cover. I do not own any of the images in this video though, or music. All credit goes to their rightful owners. This was one of my favorite releases last year. Personal favorite tracks off this record where Heavy Rope, Where The Fence Is Low, Flux and Flow, Cactus In The Valley, Fourth Dimmension, Frame And Focus, Banner and Siberia. . . Well that's basically almost the whole album xD.

For my first video, photo-shop-wise, I don't think it's too bad. I love Lights, you all should definitely listen to her, if you're into synth-pop. I didn't make her chin as 'pointy' as I should've, I had this form of stage fright while making this video. Haha. I stopped every so often to text, so the video isn't lagging, that's me pushing other buttons. I'm so mad that I cut out the second song right before the Synth solo, uuugh! S

Photoshop Speed Art: Lights Valerie Poxleitner
PLEASE READ: Here's a speed painting I did in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS4 of one of my more favorite musicians of the past year: Lights. For this artwork, I was going for a style that'd be a cross between Makoto Shinkai and graphic novels and MTV. I'll admit, I did a cheap way for doing the the cityscape by using a reference photo to practically paint itself, but if I had used this technique then I would've spent the whole Youtube 10 minutes making the background and not the subject. This project took me about 9 hours to be condensed into 7 minutes. The story I had in mind was Lights in an elevator on her way to the top, since she's rising to the stars. And, yes, it's a tall skyscraper with 311+ floors :p. I used to intern for MTV on Times Sqaure and would see a view similar to this, so I draw what it may've been like if I had seen Lights at Viacom Tower. The two songs set to the video are Basshunter's Dota (Swedish) and Lights's February Air. While February Air might be an obvious choice, Dota isn't. DOTA stands for Defense of the Ancients, an expansion to Warcraft 3. Supposedly Lights is into Warcraft, so I thought it appropriate to use a song about playing Warcraft all day long in conjuction. The Swedish lyrics to the Basshunter song, Dota: Vi sitter här i venten och spelar lite DotA å pushar på å smeker, med motståndet vi leker. Vi sitter här i venten och spelar lite DotA å springer runt å creepar, och motståndet vi sleepar.
