Matthew Liao, argues that humans need to be be subjected to "biomedical modifications" in order to help combat climate change. Followed to their logical conclusion, Liao's proposals outstrip anything Aldous Huxley wrote about in Brave New World, a 1932 dystopian novel about a future scientific dictatorship that seeks to drug, genetically manipulate, and medically induce humanity into complete slavish subservience. Expressing regret that carbon taxes will do nothing to reduce carbon emissions, Liao suggests other methods, including "pharmacologically induced meat intolerance" where people would take drugs which would trigger extreme nausea or wear patches that would "stimulate the immune system to reject common bovine proteins." World Bank "Lends" Hand to Population Control Effort
According to two subsequent documents put out by the World Bank, its guidelines dictate that in order to qualify for World Bank lending, sovereign nations must implement population reduction objectives as outlined by the World Bank and UN Population Fund. If they refuse, lending will be withdrawn. Already pre-tested and implemented in Yemen and Niger, these guidelines are destined for global implementation within the next decade, says the World Bank. In the World Bank's Reproductive Health Action Plan 2010-2015, published in April of 2010, the Bank speaks of Millennium Development Goal number 5 (or MDG5), which stands for "Reproductive Health" (or RH). 9 Billion? A Whirlwind Trip Through Population Trends
The world has never seen anything like the population explosion of the past century. The United Nations projects that the global population will top 9 billion by 2050 and 10 billion by 2100. But these projections are uncertain, as they depend on assumptions about the future, such as how many children a woman will have 20 or 30 years hence.
