Se è così facile perchè pochi ci riescono? Poonja: E' molto facile perché non dovete fare niente per averla. Tutto ciò che dovete fare è rimanere tranquilli. Conseguire l'illuminazione è quindi una cosa molto facile. Le persone dicono che è difficile perché le loro menti sono sempre impegnate in qualcos'altro. La libertà non è difficile. E' mettere fine alle altre cose che è difficile. Dovete prendere una decisione per riuscirci. Potete decidere adesso o rimandare alla prossima vita. Domanda: Per riuscirci, è necessario avere un maestro che sia realizzato? Poonja: Assolutamente! Assolutamente! Altrimenti come si può sapere se si è sulla strada giusta. Domanda: Papaj, in Occidente molte persone hanno passato molto tempo a cercare un maestro realizzato. Come possono trovarne uno? Quale consiglio daresti loro per trovarlo? Poonja: Non possono trovarlo. Non possono trovarlo. Un vero maestro non può essere visto con gli occhi. Se cercano di trovarlo con i sensi, non daranno un giudizio corretto perché il maestro è al di là dei sensi e di qualsiasi giudizio. Quando volete essere liberi, la libertà è già lì. Poonja, Chi sono io Domanda: Molti tentano di essere calmi, tranquilli, ma non ci riescono. Cosa sbagliano? Poonja: Dovrebbero abbandonare l'intenzione di mantenersi tranquilli. Se non riescono a rimanere calmi, direi loro: "Abbandonate l'intenzione di rimanere tranquilli". Se lo fanno, cosa succede? Domanda: Papaji, tu dici spesso alla gente di chiedersi: "Chi sono io?". Perché questo metodo funziona, mentre tutti gli altri falliscono? Poonja: Perché non è un metodo. I metodi non fanno altro che potare i rami, ma l'indagine colpisce alla radice, la radice della mente. Se tagliate un ramo, dopo un po' di tempo ricrescerà. Ma se andate alla radice della mente e la sradicate non potrà più tornare. L'indagine sdradica la mente. Quando vi chiedete: "Chi sono io?", colpite la mente alla radice e la distruggete per sempre. Anzi, sarebbe più giusto dire che tramite l'indagine scoprite che la mente non esiste affatto. L' "io" è la mente. Quando vi domandate "Chi sono io?", è l'io che si interroga per cercare di scoprire qual'è la vera natura della mente. Nessuno ha mai chiesto: "Chi sono io?". Nessuno. La gente chiede: "Chi sei? Chi è lei? Chi è lui?". Ma nessuno chiede mai "Chi sono io?". Quando vi ponete per la prima volta questa domanda, non state semplicemente colpendo la mente alla radice, ma l'intera creazione, perché l'io, la mente, è la sorgente di tutta la creazione. Non c'è chi pone la domanda né colui a cui viene posta. Non ci sono domande da porre. Cosa vuoi chiedere quando sei oltre, oltre questa manifestazione? Quando hai realizzato la verità, quando sei "oltre", cosa puoi chiedere ea chi? (...) Domanda: L'umanità è alla disperata ricerca di risposte per superare la crisi globale. Poonja: Ottima domanda. Gli "esseri umani" devono diventare "esseri gentili". Se si ottiene questo non ci saranno problemi. Tutti gli altri approcci hanno fallito perché non sono gentili. (...) Domanda: Come usare la realizzazione del Sé nel mondo e nel corpo? Poonja: Dopo aver realizzato il Sé comprenderai che è soltanto il Sé, e non l'io che compie tutte le attività. E' questo stesso Sé ad animare le attività di tutti. Quando avrai realizzato il Sé, avrai piena fiducia in esso e nelle attività che ti fa intraprendere. Realizzare il Sé è il compimento più meritevole. Se vuoi aiutare il mondo, questo è il modo migliore per farlo. In quello stato il Sé ti rivelerà i suoi piani. Dopo la realizzazione non sarai tu a decidere: "Io aiuterò il mondo", o "Adesso con le mie attività farò del bene all'umanità". Se dopo la realizzazione, il Sè avrà bisogno di usarti, lo farà. Non puoi più tornare in superficie. Domanda: A volte dici che la devozione a Dio non può portare una persona alla libertà, perché Dio è una proiezione della mente umana. Una proiezione della mente non può portarci oltre la mente. E' altrettanto per la devozione al guru? Può la devozione al guru condurci alla libertà? In 1978, Kalu Rinpoche appointed him the president of the first Kagyu dharma center in Marin County. In 1982, he was presented with a Zen Teaching Fan at ChoShoJi Zen Temple in Japan. After a search took him around the world and into many traditions and practices, his path and his search ended when he was pulled to India in 1990, where he met his final teacher, Sri HWL Poonja. Confirming Eli's realization, his teacher sent him back into the world to share his unique psychological insights into the nature of egoic suffering in support of self-realization. I was wondering Jinnah had only one daughter Dina Wadia (nèe Jinnah). Dina got married to a Parsi born Indian Neville Wadia against the wishes of her father. Wikipedia states: Mahommedali Currim Chagla, who was Jinnah's assistant at the time, recalls: "Jinnah, in his usual imperious manner, told her that there were millions of Muslim boys in India, and she could have anyone she chose. Reminding her father that his wife (Dina's mother Rattanbai), had also been a non-Muslim, the young lady replied: 'Father, there were millions of Muslim girls in India. Why did you not marry one of them?' And he replied that, 'she became a Muslim'". Dina and Neville lived in Mumbai and had a son and a daughter. Dina's son Nusli Wadia is an industrialist and business tycoon. His sons -- Dina's grandsons and Jinnah's great grandsons are Ness Wadia and Jeh (aka Jehangir) Wadia. About Jinnah's rest of extended family: The only grandson of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is Nusli Wadia, Chief Executive Bombay Dying & Manufacturing Company and lives in Bombay. Born in Texas in 1942, Gangaji grew up in Mississippi. After graduating from the University of Mississippi in 1964, she married and had a daughter. In 1972, she moved to San Francisco where she began exploring deeper levels of her being. She took Bodhisattva vows, practiced Zen and Vipassana meditation, helped run a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Center, and had a career as an acupuncturist in the San Francisco Bay area. Despite her successes, Gangaji continued to experience a deep and persistent longing for fulfillment.
