This is another crash test video for the Pontiac Fiero. In this test, the occupants are NOT wearing seatbelts. This goes to show how deadly even the safest cars can be when the occupants are not wearing seatbelts. This was tested at 29.7 MPH into a solid Barrier. The driver would have a fair chance of surviving, but would have broken ribs and sternum. The passenger would have a broken neck from its head going through the windshield. The Fiero received a 5 star crash rating for both driver and passenger. A 5-star rating means a 10% or lower chance of serious injury. So 5-star means the same now as it meant 25 years ago. WITH SEATBELTS Driver ***** Passenger ***** Head Injury Criterion: 356.5/308.6 Chest Deceleration (G): 30.9/29.9 Femur Load 840/800 800/740 WITHOUT SEATBELTS Driver ** Passenger ** Head Injury Criterion: 870.5/552 Chest Deceleration (G): 62.6/90.6 Femur Load 1113/1170 1056/1067 So as you can see, by not wearing your seatbelt, the crash test rating of this car goes from 5 stars to only 2 stars. Thats going from less than 10% of serious injury to 36-40% chance of serious injury!!!!! Before you comment, realize this test is WITHOUT SEATBELTS. Even a safe car like the Fiero cannot protect you if you dont WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!!!!!

675 Crash Caught on Dash Cam: Pontiac smacks overpass, falls to pieces in Ohio
A police cruiser's dashboard camera captured Monday morning's stunning crash on Interstate 675 near Dayton. The video shows a 1985 Pontiac Firebird passing by in the median, striking a culvert on the ground and then being launched into the air. The car slams into the overpass, turning into a shower of parts. The State Highway Patrol says driver Brennan Eden was ejected onto a highway shoulder. Troopers say he was alert and conscious after the crash. Investigators are trying to determine how fast the car was going.

This is a 70 Pontiac GTO w/ a 474ci Pontiac engine with a 8-71 blower on top of a 6-71 blower with a SuperChiller intercooler under them. The paint color is PPG Orange Glow over a silver base and the interior is Allante Buckskin. This video was taken at the 2006 Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk Ohio.

Recently purchased a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT with 8900 miles. Car was immaculate, so began staging for a full bolt-ons build-up that would increase HP gains, but wouldn't void the manufacturer's warranty. Parts used were American Racing long tube headers, Magnaflow exhaust, Rotofab CAI, Powerbond underdrive pulley, throttle body port & polish and East Texas Muscle Cars custom dyno tune. A stock dyno pull was performed, producing 302RWHP. After all upgrades were complete, the final dyno pull produced 371RWHP and 387RWTQ. Dave Armstrong, the master GM mechanic who keeps my Fiero on the road, did a frame-up restoration on this flawless, award-winning 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400. (Quick, all you old-timers. What were the names of the other Firebird models available that year? No peeking.) I'm always amazed at his ability to find NOS parts that aren't even being made anymore by anyone, especially GM. Dave takes this car to Pontiac shows during the summer; don't miss the opportunity to see it up close and personal. This video doesn't do it justice.
