Nylon 6,10
The preparation of nylon 6,10 by an interfacial polycondensation reaction is demonstrated. The monomers are a 6-carbons diamine (hexamethylenediamine) and a 10-carbons diacid dichloride (sebacoyl chloride): the two reagents dissolved in separate phases polymerize at the interface. The rinsed thread of nylon thus obtained is very similar to the raw material prepared on industrial scale.

voir l'ouvrage"techniques et pratique du staff" sur www.editions-eyrolles.com et sur: books.google.fr L'agrandissement (1.4fois maxi)consiste à tremper l'élastomère silicone polycondensation dans un bain de white spirit;la réduction sera obtenue en ajoutant jusqu'à30% du white spirit au mélange base-catalyseur avant de le couler(moule en bâteau). L'agrandissement ou la réduction proportionnels d'un élément de décors permettent par cette méthode de ne pas refaire toutes les phases successives de modelage ,creux perdu et retouches de l'épreuve obtenue à l'échelle demandée. Nylon Rope Trick
The nylon rope trick is a classic example of a simple polycondensation. Nylon 6-10 forms at the interface of the two monomer solutions which can be extracted by a stir rod, or in our case a power drill.
