Doug Aitken's "Happening" LIVE

Pitchfork has partnered with the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC and Wired to present one of the visual artist Doug Aitken's "Happening" events to coincide with his public art project "SONG 1". Fade in at 35:10. For one night only, SONG 1's pre-recorded soundtrack will be turned off and replaced by a live soundtrack created by Nicolas Jaar, Oneohtrix Point Never, No Age, High Places, Tim McAfee-Lewis, and Leo Gallo, who will all offer renditions of the standard "I Only Have Eyes for You", the song central to the soundtrack of Aitken's "SONG 1." Animal Collective's Geologist will DJ various versions of the song in between bands, helping to create a continuous soundscape.
